June 18, 200917 yr Thank You!! I downloaded GIMP at home, for an art project a couple of years ago, and i already have the recording software! I will post back soon with the finished product. how do you use GIMP? (to make animated GIF's that is :P) I have GIMP, but can't open the avi files I make with hypercam.
July 1, 200917 yr That is a very good guide on how to create an animated gif using Screen recording software... _________________ Call Center Software
February 14, 201016 yr gimp has to have extra add-ons to open avi files, you might as well make it with virtual dub, it's easier. Also, gimp only allows you to delete 1 frame at a time, which is a huge pain. also, I'd seen this guide a long time ago, but couldn't find it, so i was thinking about trying to recreate it, but today I found it WOOHOO! Edit: Add camstudio to your video recorder, it's free and has a (free) codec for best quality Proud Ubuntu User! There are no stupid questions, just stupid people. -Scott AdamsA computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.-Emo PhillipsMy Blog!
February 15, 201016 yr thank you sooooooooo much it worked Sig courtesy of sxssniffe(so i can remember to go to make a new one :-) ) If Jagex ever made a perfect update there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about. Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it. Brian W. Kernighan
February 15, 201016 yr when i use virtualdub to make make the gifs, and even when i open/save them with gimp, it makes them really slow, like 18fps, where camstudio records more like 200fps. I change it in virtualdub and it saves the same. HELP PLZ! Gif from gimp: it's slower than the actual emote. each frame is 5ms too! EDIT: Found the problem (i think) my camstudio was set for 200 fps, and gifs can't do more than around 30, so i just had to change the setting (i haven't looked at it in gimp yet though, so it's only a guess) ok, here's my new gif, and it's smoth and fast! amazing! November 17, 201015 yr This was very interesting and I always wanted to know how people made them. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally realize. Thanks. I'll have to try this out when I get more free time.
