Dragon Pickaxe?

Featured Replies

Dragon pick would be kinda cool, I suppose, but I'd hate it if it had instant-ore ability; all the p2p elitists would go to the f2p mining areas and hog all the rocks! That would suck.

If this were to ever come to pass, the two-ore per mine idea is good, as is the greater chance of getting gems.

I think its a really good idea but you need to get off the 2 ores from one rock special, I think maybe like a Battle Axe special and boost the mining level for a while.

How the hell could they go to f2p areas with a P2P item..? :?

That would be neat. I'd like to see it increase the chance of precious gems like the dragon ammy does though, instead of having a special.

and also a chance of dragstone :D

That would be fantastic news for miners *drools at the possiblities*, but you would have to give some dragon axe/hatchet to woodcutters as well.

We don't have to give a dragon hachet to woodcutters. Woodcutting is far too easy as it is. Whereas miners have to move onto a new rock after each ore, woodcutters get multiple logs per tree. They don't need a dragon axe.

Mind you, we don't need a dragon pickaxe either, but it would be nice.

Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

There is no need in having dragon weapons for mining and woodcutting.

Dragon weapons are made for combat and not for woodcutting or mining, when there comes such a item it would ruin the economie of runescape, prices lower and the poor get poorer and the rich richer.

Also dragon isnt everything because the price is to high, you need cut loads of logs before you even break even.

Everything is fine as it is

While I was at work today, I was thinking about the next update. It could be a new area at the underground dwarven city (Keldarim? ....or something like that). Because it's a mining city it would make sense that there would be a mining shop and what if there was a Dragon pickaxe in the shop? (I know a few players would hate the idea of a Dragon Pickaxe)

The Pickaxe's special won't be used in combat (since the pickaxe isn't really a combat weapon), but while mining you could use the special to instantly mine the rock you were mining. Maybe the best tool for a miner, but just an idea. :)

ya that would rock to have a dragon pickaxe, but the promblem is that your minning lv has to be like lv 100 or somethin

no only 60

why would it only be lv 60??
Why wouldnt it be? Every other dragon item is lvl 60 to wield/wear

Because if you'd take the time to notice, ALL pickaxes DO NOT go by the weapon levels. Rune pickaxe requires 41 mining to use...therefor, Dragon Pickaxe would require 61.

I still think it's a horrible idea though. I honestly believe people need to GIVE UP on the "There's going to be as many dragon items as there are rune items soon!" idea...I mean come on people...what's next? Dragon nails?

I think there should be a dragon pick but only special areas for it or else they would hog all the f2p rocks.

Yep 100 mining

i don't think you really NEED any higher level pickaxes at all, although it would be nice.

the speed difference between a bronze and a rune pickaxe is actually not THAT great, although noticable. I believe that most speed comes from the level.

We already have the drag ammy to increase gem chances, that does a very good job already so we don't need any more.

The getting two ores from one rock idea is appealing though, although you should have it take up the whole bar, and the chances of it happening would decrease as the type of ore goes up, as they are more rare. Imagine getting two rune ores from one rock.

Also, It should have a VERY small chance of getting a dragstone while mining in the wilderness. This would incite more people to mine in the wilderness, and perhaps help a tiny bit in relieving the very crowded mining areas

I think there should be a dragon pick but only special areas for it or else they would hog all the f2p rocks.
Dragon items are and will always be p2p

I think that if dragon pick axe was implemented, it should have very small bonus in mining. Let's not make it too easy.

its a good idea but i think the special ability should be you mine twice as fast for a limited amout of time (and it is only on the one rock that you are on)

so lets say your mining a Rune rock and you get a ore every 30 strikes if you use the special you will get a ore in only 15 strikes BUT it will wears off after you get that ore and you have to use the special again once you start mining a different rock and when you use the special it completly drains the meter

dunno if someone else has said this idea but i figured id throw it out there
