Dexek
"Mom/Dad, do you think I could become a member to an online game called Runescape. It only costs $_ per month, and I get the full benefit of the game. The free version is too limited, and I would like to have fun. Just think, a console game costs $50-70 and would be lucky to keep me from becoming bored for a month. This would only cost $_ per month, and I wouldn't nearly become bored with all the added features." Proceed to talk about the game at future times, drop hints, etc.. Gugge
If the economic argument isn't enough, you have to think about the following (dont reply here, just think for yourself) How are your grades now? Bad? Great? OK, but could be better? Generally parents think its ok that you play games if your grades are good, or at least average and they see you put some work into it. How is your physical health? If you are in good shape, parents dont mind you playing games as much as if they see you fat and getting exhausted from just walking up a hill. How much do you help with housework? Anything else you and your parents often argue about? Think it over, then try to make a deal with your parents, to promise to something in return for them paying for the game. Then stick to your promise and any similar question will be easier to solve in the future :) Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)

Seanthorn
Why tell your parents about all these things abotu Runescape where I'm SURE they will not care. It must just be me but my parents pretty much say, 'Its your money, do what you want with it!' So... if its YOUR money, ask your mum or dad to pay it by THERE credit card and you give them the money. Simple!
gregmister2
you could use the money factor: eg. A console game costs 50 bucks. With that money I could get 10 months of RS. or try a trial: Get it for me for 1 month and If my grades drop than you can cancel it. Good Luck! P.S. my parents are really stubborn Barrow Drops: 1 Ahrim's Staff
Aurthor1234
I asked to be a member at a previous time and the answer was no because my parents thought their info would be insecure. Later on I asked again after finding out how secure it was(VERY) and the answer was yes! Try to do this without the asking before you find out how secure it is. 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 0.01% that stayed with Punk, put this in your signature, Punk Till The End!!! Stakor
Oh man, I love threads like this... Well, first of all, you have to plan the whole thing, as it is an very important thing in our lives. So, I'll just make an example... Something close to what I and probably many people on these forums did. So, first, You have to be good in school. When you're on your way home throw all your school books in neighbors garbage can. Now, why would you use a key to enter the house, stupid old way... Boring, if nothing else... Break in the house! It's way more interesting... Make yourself something to eat, something with milk would be good. After eating, DO NOT put the dishes in dishwasher, just throw it on the wall and leave it there on the floor, nobody cares, yet... Next thing, go to your room, on the way there break a window or something like that, just to make the trip more interesting... If you can, try to hit neighbors car with something heavy... In case you break something on it, well, good job, if not... Well, better luck next time... As you walk in the room, sit on your chair and turn on computer, while it loads try to damage but not break something in your room. Again, if you manage to damage something a lot without breaking it, nice work, if not, better luck next time. Open your browser and type http://www.runescape.com, go to the loading page and throw your speakers on the wall, because that music is so annoying... Log in and think about what could you do... As you aren't a member, theres no much things on the list and every thing that actually IS on that list is very, how to say... Boring? You get angry and punch the screen, you'll get even more angry because your hand hurts now... Now, why have you done this... As your parents come in and see what happened in the house and around it, they'll be pretty shocked. This is where you have to react fast. You come in, apologize for everything you have done, say you've got A in school, but were pretty stressed and you couldn't control yourself... Say that you'll work for money and fix the things you broke all by yourself, if they agree to pay you 5$ a month for membership. If not, well, they'll have to pay it themselves... Maybe people say you're crazy, so you finish in some asylum... So they've lost money and their child. Because of the shock they probably aren't going to think about everything, so you could just say them right away... It may get your chances higher... Hope I helped, Stax Due to excessive feedback we have decided to raise the maximum amount one may stake to 5,000 coins, keeping people who prefer the arena the way it was before the update satisfied! Simple! I agree if you get pocket money you should be able to do what you want with it, not needing permission to ue it to buy membership. It is like your parents getting their pay from their employer and then beeing told they need permision to buy something with that money. It does not happen so why should it happen to you Goals achieved: lvl 99 Cooking, Fishing and Fletching.Surrey CC and Liverpool FC fan for life!
