I need some advice, im at varrock waiting for someone to comment this

Go from Varrock-East bank to canfis, RUN through swamp and go to barrows and take on dharok first, then kill the other randomly...

 

 

 

Dharok: Mage with air wave and Pray against Melee.

 

Verac: No prayer, air wave and pot.

 

Karil: Protect against Range, dds+d scim.

 

Ahrim: Sometimes i do without prayer, dds+d scimmy.

 

Guthan: Protect against Melee, air wave.

 

Torag: Protect against Melee, air wave.

Just running through as fast as i can trying to take minimal damage, kill brother without safe spot and if i feel unlucky ill kill some monsters for more kill count, heard it affects the ammount of runes/cash :-s

U should take like 3 p pots(4), that will certainly be enough. I use max 1 p pot with my prayer lvl, so u dont have to take that many p pots. Also i would recommend the tip.it's barrows guide. I use every same thing and it works really good to me. I dunno if ur slayer is 55, if not, train it till 55. Slayer dart hits as high as air wave i think, but you get ur runes back from the chest, so you won't lose any runes. You gotta kill dharock first, with prayer of course, then karil with the rest of your prayer, i always need to take another dose. When he's done, i move on to ahrim and use the rest of my prayer. Then you go to verac, if you want, you can pray. And then to torag/guthan and if you have a bit of prayer left, use it on guthan, since he can heal. Don't prayer on torag, he isn't worth it.

 

If you bring that much p pots, i think you need higher magic bonus instead of prayer bonus, but that's up to you.

 

It's really helpful to do in searhc and in aid of the myreque, for the schortcut and bank. If you have a meelee brother in tunnels, safespot it, it saves a lot of pray pots., then when u killed all the brothers, kill some other monster to get ur kill count above ten. I dunno if it helps, but i always do :)

Not praying on verac with those defence bonuses, gl ftw?

get a mage cape from wildy mage arena, not very hard. bring mage short instead of d scim.

 

switch tele runes with teletab.

With your stats, you shouldn't even consider doing Barrows like that. If you even make profit, it'll be with large amounts of luck. Here's how you should do it.

 

 

 

Helm of Neitiznot > Berserker helm > Farseer helm

 

Torag's Platebody > Rune platebody

 

Verac's Plateskirt > Torag's Platelegs > Rune platelegs

 

Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory > God stole > Unholy symbol > Holy symbol

 

Unholy book > Book of balance > Rune kiteshield

 

Dragon boots > Rune boots > Mystic boots

 

Barrows gloves > Mithril+ RFD gloves > Chaos gauntlets*

 

God cape > Skillcape > Obsidian cape > Cape of Legends

 

Ring of Life

 

 

 

Inventory:

 

melee weapon (whip > scimitar)

 

150 casts of spell (*Fire Bolt is best for you, since you can't use Slayer Dart, but make sure you have Chaos Gauntlets)

 

teleport out (ectophial, teleport tablet, or charged glory)

 

super defence potion

 

highest d'hide top and chaps you can wear

 

ranged weapon (MSB with adamant+ arrows, Karil's XBow with 50 racks, or rune c'bow with mithril+ bolts)

 

spade

 

two prayer potions (4) (don't even touch these except for emergencies)

 

monkfish

 

optional super attack potion if meleeing Karil (you can, but I suggest using a whip, and bring a DDP++ for the special)

 

 

 

Order of kills:

 

Dharok - pray in dragonhide for more magic attack bonus

 

Karil - use up rest of prayer, sip one dose if you're getting owned though, and don't forget your defence potion

 

Verac, Guthan, Torag - don't pray, just cast in melee armor

 

Ahrim - range him, don't pray except for emergency

 

 

 

With your magic, you'll do great casting even with a negative magic attack bonus.

 

 

 

You should also get at least a 10-12 kill count, as it does affect the amount of runes you'll get. No need to get any higher than a 12-13 kill count though, won't really do anything after that.

Im afraid thats a very bad way, and very unprofitable way to do barrows.

 

Consider getting 55 slayer,

 

and some rune armor.

Agreed, it really the only way to go.

Dont wear mage armour, the Brothers have very low mage defense. Follow the posters above me. Invest in 55 slayer and get some melee armour.

Slayer Dart is overrated, get like 70 range, and use a black salamander. The ammo is around 200gp, while a cast of slayer dart is around 340gp. Get at least rune armor, and you'll be fine. I recommend barrows so you dont have to pray on Karil unless he gets really lucky.

The reason people use slayer dart is because you gain all the runes you use back from the chest, not because its incredible cheap.

Agreed. You definitly want to pray on Verac, just because he will hit through it sometimes, doesnt mean it doesnt help. As above, wear melee armour and pray against him.
