slayer reward points - getting start and beyond

So after completing smoking kills quest, you have to do 4 tasks in a row from a slayer master without changing it. And on the 5th you start getting points.

 

 

 

My question is, after you officially start getting points and say on your 8th tasks since you started you got scabarites... and you burthope

 

 

 

after you do that, the next real task you get will give you points or no? or you have to do the 4 in a row again???

 

 

 

because if thats true, slayer points is ftl

4 in a row. BTW, scarabites are a good task. 40 crimsons a trip, very fast, pro melee is 100% protection.

 

 

 

But then again, they made task size smaller so, maybe not as much. :|

It's true. Slayer points are a superfluous reward for hardcore slayers. Not just some other reward to work up to.

 

 

 

Though you can skip a task for 30 points and not need to do 4 more, or get rid of it forever for 100 points.

 

 

 

But the 4 tasks isn't that bad if you just use Mazchna.

 

 

 

Wait, which Scabarites are these, Kent? I've been killing lancers and rangers north of the swamp, and hating them.

Basically, if you Burthrope a task, it makes it so your task count goes to 0. However, you can spend 30 of your points to skip the task without making your task count 0.

 

 

 

If it goes to 0, you have to do another 5 tasks to get points again.

 

 

 

And RyderJ, I kill them inside the cave in the bank. Follow the passage, and you'll find yourself in a room full of scarabs, but only melee ones should be able to attack you. Check out Zarfot's guide, if he still has it up there.

Yeah, Slayer Points are annoying, but they're better than nothing. It's something special to come from finishing a task instead of no reward at all. Hard, yes, but it makes you want to train more slayer. A good idea by Jagex in my opinion.

I feel this update is a great idea for Slayer.

 

 

 

In my mind Slayer is the hardest Skill to level, making the Accomplishment of 99 rather impressive. This update allows hardcore Slayer the joy of being able to block tasks while encouraging them to not Burthope every task but a handful. This won't jump people to level 99 Slayer over night but still helps the avid Slayer along.

do you actaully have to go to the slayer master to get points or can u just use npc contact? cause i used npc and i got no points and went to duradel once and got the points

Yes you can use NPC contact for slayer masters. I camped at the slayer tower during 5 tasks that way =P~

Which is nice, but always go back to the bank to get more super sets and prayer pots if you use them.
