Hey all

 

 

 

Here is my most recent art piece i did for my final exam for my GCSE's here in the UK. The project was barriers as some of you may remember from my other pieces i posted and i centered around the arrogance and ignorance of people. Some people in the world always seem to be arrogant with their opinions and they never listen to others. I wanted to show this in a visual way of "actions speak louder than words" also by using old book pages as a pre-prepared surface to work on. I did a self portrait using different hues and tones for skin colour. It is not my favourite piece i have done but one of my best acrylic pieces. I did get some of the proportions wrong but that is what you get when sitting down looking at a stretchboard at an odd angle :P

That is a really cool portrait. I wear glasses too :P. The colours work really well together and the whole concept is great! I love it...

 

 

 

As for the sig....definetly one of your best so far. Right colours, action and placement. And could i please have it?

Thanks cowboy. Lol well the actual person (the coloured bit is a render) :oops: But the hair designes and the text i added, wanted to get it looking like vegas fonts. I did some other work with the background and added the swirly things to the render and made the render fit nicer.

 

Ermm can't really teach you how :P it was just really an experiment with a style :D i might try making my own person next :)

Great painting, I've been wondering what you looked like for a while. :P

 

 

 

The sig looks pretty nice too, I like all the colours and just the way it looks really. Though there is a bit too much white in there IMO.
