Back in classic i had Full rune (yes including kite) which was about 1mill and rune battle axe

 

 

 

I was so proud of my self in total it was abotu 1.5mill

 

 

 

this is the best story ever now:

 

When mauls first came out and were pure pwnage i bought one for 1.8mill and used it everywhere i pked and got my first ever dragon pk (dragon scimmy) then i went to the widl killed some guy and got poisened... as soon as i got to the bank i died from it and some noob got it

 

 

 

a few days later i bought one for 700k and kept it for a few weeks and my members ran out, 3 months later i came back... mauls were nerfed and only 100k

All right, heres a VERY oldschool set up. There used to be a glitch that involved equiping your wepon, taking a few steps, dropping it, and clicking to equip again or something along the lines of that, but you had a full pack of knives while doing it. The reason for the knives was the glitch would make the knives give you a crazy damage bonus or something like that, so the more knives you had, the more damage you did. Having said that, the set up was a full pack of knives, and your wepon. Everyone was running around with nooby wepons such as bronze hatchets and hitting for 35s on RSC. Anyone remember those days? (needless to say, Jagex fixed that bug VERY VERY fast.)

i remember back in the day the best bow for f2p was oak and range was pretty much something no one used.

 

 

 

Yeah oak shortbow and steel arrows were awesome. I used to play on my new ranger pure back then. It was actually mad if you shot 10s and 11s 8-) But even before that, in summer of 04 when I was playing on my earlier ranger pure, I and quite many of my friends used normal shortbow with iron arrows as it shot 2 times faster than oak short. I think it then got degraded back to usual shortbows speed but it sure was fun while it lasted \ Imagine the arrow rain on unsuspecting guy. They all freaked out.

Ahh the knife glitch, I saw a pic of someone hitting 25 with it using a bronze hachet. Pretty epic stuff.

That's funny, because I read an old post about rs2 stating that adding up to oak would help 'balance' the triangle. Pretty phail actually, took them a year to add up to maples.

It's been so long and so many things have changed. I really can't remember clearly when I was fresh meat off Tutorial Island.

 

 

 

The main things I do remember is when Barrows came out and all the armors were around 20m a set or something really outrageous.

hahaha....ok...boy do i have a lot to tell....i started in 04, became member shortly after (started in march, member in like mid-late summer).

 

 

 

for 1, whip was best weapon hands down. and it was still like 2.5-3.5m. i remember spinng flax and taking forever just to save up for one. that was fun.

 

 

 

ranger boots were 900k. i got my first and only pair from a tt, and i sold them later cuz i needed cash 4 barrows nd wut not, since guthans was like 11.8m back then. but now rangers r 5m, and u can almost never get them from a tt....so disappointing....its a ripoff imo now.

 

 

 

i remember when they released chaos elemental. there were so many people there. and they were like decent ppl, not noobs who would just kill people who were trying to kill the elemental. but the elemental always owned us lower lvls (i was like 70 back then, 92 now, i havent been training cb much, doing mining) but always got owned. and when dragon 2h was like 7m or sumthing like that.

i also remember when teleing cammy was the most widely used method for increasing mage. though now it seems obselete. i also remember when castle wars was the most popular game. now its bh, and tbh, i hate pking. i can do it, i just dont like it.

 

 

 

omg when dds was like 60k or sumthing i dont remember.

 

 

 

all the laggy spots around banks in w2, 6 ,9, when no g/e was around, ppl would sell stuff, like phats, pumpkins, easter eggs, drag chains, etc. lol when d legs were still 2.8m and d med was 1m. hahahahaha those were the days.

 

 

 

imo, the g/e ruined everything. prices got messed up and they stuck, and the rarest of items dropped drastically.

The whip myth and the 15m phats was right around when I was like 50 combat and training for 70 range...those were the DAYS

;) It was fun. There was also the beer glitch where if you drank beer your str would stack (beer gives you higher str) so people got 99 str off the free beers in barb village.

 

 

 

Vintage wear, I don't know but my fave was full rune. Back then that was worth a lot comparatively speaking and if you got a full rune kill it was a big deal. That was great.

LOL u can buy like 1k sets of full steel with a Santa. I remember sum1 was buying full rune for 1m. and this was when it was worth 150k. he was a lvl 3 and had 1000k in money. I remember I was like, wow he's rich. back then I was a 45 or sumthing and the most money I ever had at one point (in cold hard cash) was 80k (which I used on a rune plate).
