toast647
Ok, last week I was browsing TIF when I clicked a link, it wasn't loading so I closed it. I have two windows open usually, one for RS, and one for browsing stuff. When I closed it, it started spam opening new tabs in my RS window. Then I closed it, and it started opening new windows. It has happened again, twice in the last two days. I don't know whats happening but it's the same thing as the first time. I have IE7 and a brand new Vista, halp me. :geek: Thanks  Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
blackrainbow
My first thought if my PC started behaving like that after clicking a link would be that I'd got a virus. Try updating Windows and your Anti-Virus program, then do a full scan, see if that helps.

jcfc
I got that before - I think its an IE7 bug. Safest bet? Use Firefox \ Click here for an IE7 theme for firefox. The Observer
I had the same thing happen to me. Tabs just kept spam opening. I ended the Firefox process and it hasn't happened again. :?
sohkmj1
Happened to me once, probably just a bug with the browser :)

InkofDeath
Unless you downloaded anything, there's no way you got a virus from the link, perhaps a cookie, but even then. Delete your cookies and temp folders. Do as Vincet said as well. Also telling someone to use another browser, or any other program, is not fixing nor helping the problem. Nadril
Are you sure it wasn't just one of those joke sites that purposely [bleep] with your browser?

I delete my cookies and temp folder every couple of days ;) @Nadril: It was another TIF linked from IRC, I had already been on it, but I closed it and clicked it again. @Vincent: I guess I could start using the RS client again. But I'm guessing if it happened again, it would just spam open new browsers, like before. It would spam open new browsers after I would close the RS that had tabs spamming open Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
