SAT Reasoning Test (who's ready?)

Featured Replies

The only tests I ever studied for was math ones, the reading, grammar, etc all just seems natural, like "What the hell? This doesn't sound right..." so I never studied for things like that, and I always did well.

Good luck. You'll do fine, just make sure you read it over a few times, and always go with your first instict, never change an answer, thats how I got most of my errors. :P

Thanks, Chris. I took the ACT and got a 28, so I got a pretty good idea of what to look out for. We lost touch long ago, PM me your MSN if you want to catch up :)

i got a 28 on the ACT is 7th grade for some duke young people thing, got a 2260 on this new SAT in may......almost all of it you can figure out with an ounce of common sense (that is the grammar part)

  • 3 weeks later...

For those of you who took the test on the fourth of June, your scores are available online now at http://www.collegeboard.com

I got a 650 math, 650 verbal and 570 writing.

I'm happy for the most part, though I'm definitely going to retake it and actually attempt to prepare for it a bit. My writing is definitely weak, but I thought I got an extremely bogus writing prompt. Hope the rest of you are happy with your scores.

my writing..which im good at...i got a 660...10 on essay

I find it amazing that so many people got good scores on their tests. I think most of them are just full of [cabbage], sorry.

I got 760 in verbal, 800 in math and 640 in writing. Kinda sucks since verbal is supposed to be harder lol. Gotta study grammar over the summer.

btw June SAT II results came back. Pretty happy i got 800 on Math IIC lol.

Another reason that I love Canada for.

Plus the easier marking system.

Haha, a 50% is a fail in America...

Actually depends on where you live. Where I live it's....

92-100 A

84-91 B

75-83 C

67-74 D

0-66 F

And compare that to Canada's:

86-100 A

73-85 B

68-72 C+

60-67 C

50-59 C-

0-49 F

Jeez! Is it possibly not to have a 4.0 there?

Grades in class really don't matter sicne theyre based on stuff like participation and all that great stuff. Just this last school year about a month before school was out I found out I was flunking biology.. and then the league contest results came back and I was first in the biology test in league. :? Long story short, I got a 316% on my insect collection and boosted my grade to a low A :D

it also depends on ur HS...ive never heard of anyting like ur story lolz...

and my grades dont depend on participation since im in governor's school...which is all AP courses (courses worth college credit)

o ok...yeah...meh w/e

i just gotta study my vocab alot more...i feel that since in real life u have any resources available to you...then that should be the case on the test...not like stuff to just give it away...but like i said earlier...i live off of a thesaurus

This is an odd tangent off of what you said...

But if they let you use calculators and you didn't have to learn any math...

Who would program the equations into new calculators? (assuming a new model or update that you just cant slap an old board into :P )

I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.

didnt say not to learn it...plus i wasnt tlaking about math here

the vocab that is on those tests is unused...and even unheard of...y put something there that no1 uses...and can have access to it at any given point and time if need be...

o well...even if i dont get into the college i want...ill still b able to get a decent job seeing as thats all they look for is the degree...

PMG 660 IS BOMBING IT EVEN THOUGH IT'S 160 POINTS BETTER THAN AVERAGE.

Wow, you did really well, especially in math :D I remember being angry that I got a 760 on the IIC and an 800 on the SAT math... it made me feel like I wasn't as good at "real" math (math more advanced than mere word problems). Sigh!! But you did it all, man :D You did it all!

And punk - good luck!! I can understand being a little disappointed, but chin up, that's still plenty well enough to get into the best college ever (Wesleyan University), of course :D

Everybody hug and spread the love :D

Ya you really 'suck' at it considering it's almost 100 points above average.
