July 28, 200817 yr That's one hell of a reason to throw a party. I respect anyone who has to balls to join the military at a time of war plus the Marines = my favorite banch ;) Make our country proud bro :D Internet Marketing For Newbies
July 28, 200817 yr I think you have every right to be proud to serve and fight for your country. And yes it's what men and women like this guy do; they protect you and many many before us have given their damn lives for the better of this nation and it's people. I don't agree with the war because it was started on lies and I do agree there is some ulterior motive to it, but I don't think it was oil we aren't getting any free oil and if we wanted some we could get it easily. But have pride and country and support the men and women who fight for it c'mon. But there will always be ignorant people who will be trying to drag you down because of their opinions who you will have to ignore. (Done a great job already better than I ever could kudos to you \ ) Hopefully none of this people that bash you show up for the party wouldn't be a big surprise to me if they did  . And to those who do bash you here is a hearty [bleep] you. If you feel that way go live somewhere else. Guess I'll step off my soap box. Thanks for your service and good luck to you in basic training and beyond that. PS you make more money in the military than you ever would at McDonalds you get on the job training and get paid for it. So whoever posted that is obviously running their mouth about [cabbage] they don't know. Wc'ing my way to 99 (Wish me luck)
July 28, 200817 yr Author I have to thank everyone showing there support. Not only do I have people around me in my everyday life supporting me, But also people who don't even know me or if they do, not very much. This goes to show that the community of Runescape has not died! I just came back from a long break. Back on bob.
July 28, 200817 yr Former Navy. 5 Years. E-5 carried over to the National Guard (1 year). Good luck buddy. Keep your head down if you get in a tight spot. Most of us here will keep you in our prayers, or at least thoughts lol. You don't have to support the war, just each other. And I will always support our fighting men and women. Also, party down dude. You are about engage on a journey like none other. Throw caution to the wind for now, but be sure to bring plenty of caution where ever you go from Boot Camp on out. I was a veteran of a Foreign War before I was old enough to drink (technically). And a veteran of 2 Foreign Wars, before my first child turned 1. Do what you gotta do for yourself and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, no matter how strong their opinions are. Hell, the only reason I went National Guard for a year was to help support my family. I didn't want to go overseas. But WE needed the support and money, so I made my sacrifices. Glad to say, that everything worked out in the end. Oh yeah, be nice to us Salty Dogs...because remember what MARINE stands for... M y A ss R ides I n N avy E quipment Good luck bro!!!
July 28, 200817 yr Author Required to be nice to Navy, My father is retired navy  I just came back from a long break. Back on bob.
July 29, 200817 yr The reason why those agorant people think its bad because they think the military is bad. "oh noez tey kill ppl." and are probably against the Iraqi War. My guess anyway. Your marching to your death and throwing your life away Whats wrong with taking risks if thats the thing that you like? Its better to die young but to have done what you wanted to do than to live a normal safe life but be miserable all along because its not your thing. 2480+ total

I'd rather die doing something that I believe in/like doing than live a "safe" life doing an unfulfilling job in the human rat-race. The party is a good idea for a damn good reason. Don't listen to anyone who says it's a bad idea because they clearly don't understand. Good luck in the Marines.
July 29, 200817 yr Best of luck. I say party for any reason, 'cause you never know if you'll have another chance. It's even more true in your case. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
July 29, 200817 yr Have you're party, what you're doing is extremely good cause to celebrate. The next party you have will be over a pile of dead terrorists. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
July 29, 200817 yr I dont see anything wrong with that reason to party after all any reason is a good reason to party \
July 29, 200817 yr I think it is a great idea for a party, you can throw a party for whatever you like too. The naysayers don't have to come if they think it isn't a good reason? And also, I can't believe the amount of disrespect for soldiers there is in this thread. I cannot imagine what a WW2 vet would think of what some of you people have wrote. They are protecting our country, and if you don't think there is a good enough reason to have a war, who are you to say someone cannot join the military and decide whether or not they can throw a party. I'm not necessaraly against the military but I see joining it as, for lack of a better word, stupid. Your marching to your death and throwing your life away, no amount of pride of my country(which I'm sad to say I don't have) could ever make me do that. Sorry to have such a grim tone but I had to voice my opinion. Please enjoy your party. LIFE is marching to your death, from the second your born, you are marching to your death. Sitting in front of your computer at work is sitting your way to death. What is the difference? What you do in between is entirely up to you, fighting for something you love is not throwing your life away. Journey to Swan Song
