Runescape 4 years from today.

I could see godswords eventually coming down to around 5M and almost everyone having them, i'm not too sure about 3rd age though because it's much harder to get than godswords,bandos armour, armadyl armour etc.

 

 

 

I'm guessing they'll bring out more *set* armour effects, like barrows armour, or maybe even things we could add onto our armour like augmentation gems with burning effects, poisoning effects etc.

 

 

 

I think they'll eventually have to make 90+ requirement stuff too, they'll have to, we have more than 4K people with 99 prayer now, and rising. Soon they'll have to start doing many high level updates muahahahahahahahaha :twisted:

 

 

 

GS will probably fall sooner than most think, unless the merchanters have something to do with it. It seems to me quite a bit of people do GWD that the supply is going to increase sometime. Only time will tell I guess.

I recall back when the change over from classic to RS2 happened. I took a break for about 6 months during this time and one of the first things I did when I logged back on was fight lesser demons in karamja always opening with silver light. I didn't relise that they had changed the way silverlight worked and that it was better to just use a dragon long sword.

In a way I guess I miss the start of things, just going around levelling up randomly. Back then, I wouldn't even call it training because I didn't have any goals to speak of, it was just fun. Of course the game is still fun now, but in a way I think the goal and training aspect of it has somewhat made it a bit less fun.

I hear where your coming from smellysocks. I remember along time ago when I always saw you in the fishing guild along with other oldies. I've been playing since 2001'ish, taking many breaks prob adding upto 3yrs in that time though, every time i log back in i think, 'should i play?'...all my friends are real high, prices have dropped, and the game has expanded even more.

 

 

 

If a new user was to come across runescape now, they'd be lost, there's so much game content.

 

 

 

This was my finishing stats in classic, i'm guessing you played ;) I let ppl log into this acc every so often just to see what it's like, cuz many people never new of the classic game.

The sheer excitement of getting a D-med helm as a drop has long been gone... I really enjoyed those "had-to-be-there" moments where I got a rare item or a high hit and I would be like "OMG" and I would feel satisfied.

 

 

 

Tbh, all those feelings are now memories and I doubt that the feeling can ever be felt again. With the constant release of more powerful weapons and armours, Runescape will have... *Dare I say* a limit as everyone would max and releasing more powerful equipment would not solve anything anymore.

Seriously though, next year will mark my 4th Runescape anniversairy, I remember the days where F2P was more popular than P2P, you could see low levels in Varrock General Store waiting for valuble items to be sold so they can be the first to buy them, and everyone using the excalibur special in the Castle Wars waiting room... ahh bliss.
