Ok so. I'd like to present you all with an idea. Please don't say "that'll never happen" i know there's plenty of chance it won't work but I wanted to try anyways :)

 

 

 

So, the idea is to get a list of hopefully 50-100+ names who agree that we'd like Jagex to open the trade(without the 3k rule) for the 2 weeks surrounding Christmas(I believe that's when the Christmas event usually is)

 

The idea is not to say "we hate jagex you're so stupid etc etc etc" because really Jagex has done a pretty good job on runescape, we'd just like to say "could you please do this?"

 

When I think we have enough usernames I'll send Jagex a message saying politely that we'd like to have free trade for a couple of weeks.

 

 

 

Also, there's the problem with ad bots saying "5$ for 1mil at blahblahrsmoney.com" or whatever. However if Jagex puts up enough warnings around, the problem won't be too bad.

 

Hmm I guess that about covers it.

Anyway, Jagex isn't going to change the trade limit. They stated so. It is very frustrating at times, but we'll have to live with it.

Lets do it. That means the other 50 ish weeks in the year, bots and farmer can collect all their gold, nerd gold buyers can wait, then at christmas time, RWT like never before! Would so work.

 

 

 

 

 

Seriously think this through, its a horrible idea and even if you had 500k signatues jagex wouldn't care... they've seen what EVERYONE thinks already. Not gonna happen.

LMFAO... That's a joke right? A warning? What the hell is a warning going to do? For YEAR jagex was going on banning sprees, cracking down hard, and siezing over 6b in rs gold WEEKLY, with farmers just making more accounts and not caring. If you think a little warning is going to stop them, you are VERY sadly mistaken.

They wont let the bots have 2 weeks to be honest. :P

Destinied to fail. Why? Because:

 

 

 

* It would boost the rwit a lot: it would be most likely the last possible event for many people to get rid of their pixels. Wilderness and duel arena got fixed so quietly for a reason: to make sure people don't just empty their banks just before the update. If warning would be so easy and the best way to avoid rwit, it would never have even gotten into so big deal.

 

 

 

* Petitions have never worked. You were aiming for 50-100 names, yet Jagex didnt give up when there was hundreds of players protesting in one world and a lot more than 100 posts at forums. We've seen this in many cases and I don't see why would they do it now and risk a major source of their funding due it. Giving up now would also just cause more riots, petitions and arguements in the future.

 

 

 

* 50-100 Players are nothing. Even if they all were paying members, it would mean pretty much nothing to Jagex if they all quit. That's so small minority of the RS population that they don't have any real affect to the game or how its run.

It'd be nice, jagex say they can track who buys gold, maybe if trade was open for one week of x-mas, they could track some couldn't they? You abuse and goodbye happy rs-x-mas.

50-100 names is hardly enough. There are probably much more than that, and you'll find much more supporters than that. I'm sure EVERYONE hates the trade limit and want it gone. It's just that some of us know that it is simply not possible.

 

 

 

It's the solution Jagex put, they won't change it.

this will be useless because rwt will come back... well for at least 2 weeks plus ppl will drop trade and transfer etc. so this wouldnt be good.

If it was so easy, it would have been done already. We've gotten many updates to remove the trading, even risky trading, so I don't see why would they give up now. Especially the date would be horrible: If I gave an expensive item to my mate, how could Jagex detect the rwit in the first place? Selling for example a santa for real money would look the same as giving a santa as a christmas present at their logs.

 

 

 

This kind of free trade time would be waste of good things: rwit would return for a short period of time and all the sacrifices we've done would have been done for nothing. If you need the free trade to show your christmas spirit, think again your motives. Even though I'm far away from being religious, for me christmas is also something else than giving or receiving material.

you could send em a list of 1million names (100 names on any petition means no one cares btw) and theyd just throw it in the garbage

When this thread used to have stickies on it (where have they gone? :-k ), there was a thread on what not to suggest. This was on it. Sorry.

 

 

 

And thus, JAGeX will never bring it back. They have already stated this. If they did bring it back, then RuneScape will close in a month due to Real World Trading and Credit Card fraud. No, I am not exaggerating, that will happen.

Sorry, but Jagex have already said there is no way they are going back to the previous way, which allowed RWT. Even if it is for only 2 weeks.
