New Link Sigs!

Saw both of these on dA :P Third is alright, though I'm not a fan of the background. The second one's bg is fine, but the render is terrible. You need to work on text aswell.

Well done, try experimenting with styles and effects like you are doing.

When adding effects like your latest ones, try and keep the render free of the effects around the bulk of it. this keep its the focal point. Also test out blending techniques. Search for some tuts, there are bound to be some.

Just trying random filtery things...

Better, but erase some of the filteriness of the focal like Sid said.

Still using PhotoImpression? :(

Well, these are basic, and kinda bad. The filter one is that really, a pile of filters. Photo impression is ....Gimp is better. A lot better. Get it.

Yeah but there's no fun bold/italic (or there's limited) or shadows or all caps... that sort of stuff.

Here's another one, sort of an ugly mash-up of random images... I know how to get things transparent now.

Don't make a base and then place the render on it, it's utterly hard to blend the background and the render that way. I suggest copying the render and smudging it out for a background, it's a lot easier that way.

Have to agree with julius, by smudging a background it keeps the colours in the sig more balanced, and they're guaranteed to match

Also, are you using GIMP, or PS?

Decent background but the render doesn't blend at all, try using some distort effects.

Blended render adds flow and creates a more appealing signature.

Try looking at these few tuts to help with that:

http://www.gimptalk.com/forum/enguarde% ... 78s25.html

I used both of those to get started, the 2nd one is a great way to create backgrounds, and the first is a pretty basic but good looking sig. If you need more just browse around gimptalk

But your work is def getting better
