Should I buy a BGS (Or any other godsword for that matter)?

Featured Replies

I know they're mostly coup de grace weapons like the dark bow, but are they still okay for training, given their slow speed?

I'd try and borrow one, but everyone's charging upwards of 100k and I don't know anyone who has one.

So to all the lucky owners out there, is it worth it? Or if you're feeling really kind, you could lend it to me :D

Whip & SS outperform the GS's while training. They're only good for the extreme Slayers and boss hunters.

It's good for strength training, better than Dragon Scimitar anyway. If you have the money, it's worth buying.

Honestly train your stats up, at your levels you aren't taking advantage of any of the god swords powers...

Extreme slayers would use a whip on controlled, it's far better than any other weapon. The dragon scimitar would be better than the GS... yeah it's that bad for training. Although SS is far better if you're training str.

The ONLY use for a Godsword is boss hunting or PvP. So good enough stats to go there. Around... 85+ all.

Atleast 80s, but even then 85s would do it. But if you have the money now, and you really want one, go ahead, but if its not hitting as high/often as you would like, you will know why.

I have a Bgs and i like it. I've been playing lots of castle wars. and with just a Dragon battle axe spec and castle wars brace, I hit in the mid to high 40's. Btw im only 83 strenth. So, you would probably do alright with it, but not enjoy the full potential. If you want to borrow one for a couple duels, I'd lend you mine when im online. But not lending for hours.

The SGS is also used by slayer for the great help from the special. ;)

Yeah, frankly they are specialty weapons that look cool :P . Whips and ss are much better practically.

Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again

buy a bgs and lend it out for 50k/h using junk

For training, No point of having them. If your gonna monster hunt with them, Then maybe bandos although thats the most risky to buy because of how wildly its price changes

Extreme slayers would use a 70M sword as a speccing weapon and use a whip for normal combat.

Hey,

If you want to buy a godsword; Bandos is the best in my opinion... but; if you would like to save yur money for other things, I recommend maybe a whip or a dragon scimitar etc.

Hope this helps;

imo gs are good only for monsters with high defense such as black demons, bosses, barrows etc...because if you were to use a whip then u will end up missing much more especially on the GWD bosses...but for normal training i suggest using whip/scim/dharok =D

maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cooking

life may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?

my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
