i decided to make a new account after taking a break, and i used to make a lot of money fishing, im guessing there isnt as much people buying fish anymore now that pking is gone, but if you have any other ideas of makin good money let me know.

Most fish prices have gone up significantly since the removal of real-world trading eliminated fishing bots. Sharks, monkfish, lobsters, and swordfish have all skyrocketed. Unfortunately, the best you can make even with 99 fishing is only about 150k gp/hr, which is less than you get mining pure essence. So I would not recommend fishing for a primary moneymaker, unless you already enjoy the skill for its slow pace and minimal input and aren't especially concerned with being rich.

ya, it is because ppl who go to BH or GWD always buy fish, and you have tons of ppl trying to buy there way to 99 cooking by buying lobs, monks, or even sharks. :lol:

Not only with Bounty Hunter and God Wars, but for skillers as well. Ex-pkers are turning back to skilling, and many of them are probably going to be using their gains on the easier skills to buy, one of those being cooking. Trout and Salmon have gone up, if I am not mistaken.

 

 

 

I would imagine prices will rise again, assuming the two upcoming free for all pvp arenas allow outside food in them, as I don't see why they wouldn't.

The demand is for GWD and bosses and the cooking skillcape. Prices are high, but the money is by no means phenomenal. Monks are a good mixture.

There are much faster ways to get money.

 

 

 

If you enjoy it, or are doing it for the experience though, it's not a bad option.

I've found that fish often are sold within minutes on the GE, both raw and cooked. It might not be as profitable as some skills, but you should have no problems selling your fish.

are you sure p ess is so fast? they slowed the rate you get it at, so im not sure really how fast it is now. i couldnt take it.

Also, Fishing is good money, but Mining is far better.

You shouldn't have any trouble mining 1k pess or more in an hour, especially if you can use runecrafting pouches and/or abyssal familiars and can get into the Wizard's Guild. Pure essence is 155 median today. And that's not even the best--there are many ways of making more than 200k/hr that have no skill requirements.

If anything they've gone up. When I got 99 cooking with lobs, it only cost me 1.5m. Now, it's costing some of my friends 5m-6m.

 

 

 

Numbers speak for themselves. And the cooked lob prices haven't changed much.

fishing is actually better than ever mainly because of the ge which makes selling so much easier. u used to wait in world 1 yelling all day but now everyone is on the same page. plus bhers and cookers use em as well as training food to others.

and im positive they slowed it, went to mine it a few weeks ago. slow as HELL
