August 13, 200817 yr i am going for my second 99 skill as an f2p. First one was wc, Thanks for new update that most of the bots are gone to help me acheive it. but does anyone know how long will it take to mine 130k coal
August 13, 200817 yr Depends on how many people are in your world, how long your on and how long you mine. I'd say at least two-three weeks maybe? August 13, 200817 yr Also, depends on how crowded the world is... the more people on the world, the faster the rocks respawn, which could definitely be a key advantage in your race to 99. And as a bonus...a lot of times on really crowded so called "dedicated" type servers, a lot of times you'll find normally active areas, surprisingly empty of other players. :)
August 13, 200817 yr Author i am mining at off peak times i tend to switch from fally mining coal to lumby swamp mining and super heating (lil side thing for smithing xp
August 13, 200817 yr You barely gain any xp or cash from mining coal... I could've sworn that Iron is faster for both. At least for members. I'm pretty sure this applies for F2P, but I'm not sure. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
August 13, 200817 yr Author i am not mining for cash because as a f2p player there isn't really anything you can buy will loads of money besides i already have 35 mill in gp and more in items just mining the coal for later use in smithing guthan you say about 2-3 weeks till 99?
August 13, 200817 yr Do you have figures on how much you can mine during the time you play? August 13, 200817 yr A good tool, I'm not going to provide links or anything, is Runescript. It can track your experience over a designated amount of time. Telling you exactly how much xp you gained in that given time, and your estimated time to level. Could be very useful to you.
August 13, 200817 yr ok ty all i will check out this runescript thing do i google it? Common sense might tell you. But that's all I'm going to say about it lol.
August 14, 200817 yr According to my calculations it could take anywhere between 26 and 43 days depending on how long you play.
August 14, 200817 yr looks at ur mining level (which is impressive =D> ) i say u just want 99 mining and u could care less about profits since u already can mine rune ore. so i would say that iron would be better. and it would take very long, but u might do it. as for me, i have no patience or time to get a 99.
August 14, 200817 yr I would say for me when i mined coal. I mined 1-2k a day with it. so i would say if you can mine that much it would take you the 65-130 days.

August 14, 200817 yr At the mining guild just regular mining and banking I think the most you can get per hour is 300. so thats about 433 hours at that speed, or more realisticaly 520 hours at 250 coal per hour. 520 hours is about 21 days, so ya it will take 3 weeks if you never leave your computer, stop playing, or sleep. Asuming that you like most humans enjoy your sleep it will take you 130 days if you play for 3 hours a day. I think power mining iron is a better option though. Does it really matter whether I was right? #-oThis is Tipit. There is nothing more important than being right. Common sense is nothing more than a deposit of prejudices laid down in the mind before you reach eighteen.
August 14, 200817 yr Author thanks all i guess i will start doing a lil iron mining to then is fally the best place to mine and bank?
August 14, 200817 yr What I would recommend is doing some power mining of iron. and if that gets to sickening, instead of banking coal, Buy a few thousand Mithril/addy ores and like 10k nats, then bring down heaps of ores to super heat while you mine the coal. Go with: Fire staff in hand Nats Rune Pick 26 Inv slots left: 20 addy ore / 22 Mith ore 6 open slots for coal. If you got 85 smithing in the process, you could even do it with rune ores instead of mining 28 coal then banking over and over, you can mine 20x6 +6 = 126 coal. which would be about 4 times less banking, and all that banking will be cutting into your mining time, slowing you down. you come up with 20 addy bars/22 mith bars and some coal to bank. Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
August 14, 200817 yr thanks all i guess i will start doing a lil iron mining to then is fally the best place to mine and bank? No, the Rimmington Mine is in fact the best spot for Power Iron Mining. Dwarven Mine is sluggish compared to it. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Dwarven Mine is sluggish compared to it. +1, either drop it after a few ores, or run to general store and tarde all ore in their. As no one buys it from their, you'll know roughly how many iron you've mined. Although you'll be losing alot ov money, don't worry about it, it'll pay of when you have that 99 cape woo :D
