August 21, 200817 yr Rants forum is pointless anyway to be honest, i wouldn't complain if they removed it completely, its just a cesspool (sp?) for all the bad things in the rs community, whiners beggers immature tards, they all congregate n that one forum and come up with lame ideas to whine more (riots and the type). August 21, 200817 yr Author Sure, I agree that 85% of the rants forum is "Z0MG W3 WAnT T3H W1LDY BACKKKK!!!!!1111", but I don't see the point in the whole merging the two forums thing. Think of it, surely all the rants will just simply push all the compliments out of the way, and into the page 51 monster? It does nothing to be honest, ok its a nice place to be cheerful to jagex, but it doesent achieve anything towards the game. Sure, rants is more popular, but still #-o That's part of being wrong. They're changing the name because a huge amount of the rants get locked because they're spam or in the wrong forum. Changing the name to game feedback and starting new will help that.
August 21, 200817 yr This can both have negative and positive effects. Bad threads can be bumped back up, however, they would get locked faster. Good threads would also get bumped up.

No i think it just means a quieter community, ive never had a thread on the RSOF rants nor do i browse them regularly, but i think players need a place and have a right to vent and rant somwhere, If anything this just means more rants will come to TIF and by that logic will decrease the quality of the community here, Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,I like to think I walk this line every day. Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.

August 26, 200817 yr I could'nt care less. Fewer rants= better community. Hate idiots like you. Without rants we wouldn't have had: No auto scrolling bank pages, Many glitches fixed, THE NEW PVP, and much much more. More rants = better game and community. Rants is not for spam threads like : @@ omgs I GOTS HACKED!!, it's for ranting about in game problems which need to be improved. STHU and GTFO.

Would someone care to explain how doing any of the above for the sake of venting their frustration is beneficial and/or productive? (of you who are saying it is) Sure some changes have been made that have sprung from the rants forum, but that doesn't mean they were rants...they just had nowhere else to put it. With the new forum there will be more constructive criticism and less rants, which is in fact better for them at JaGex and better for the community as a whole. Oh, and Danqazmlp - the compliments forum does serve a purpose, it helps JaGex understand what sort of content the players like and would like to see more of, or if their risks paid off, stuff like that. Without the compliments forum they would not be able to distinguish between the content that people are satisfied with and the content people really like, and there is a big difference between the two.
