Here's something thats been bugging me

People have become set in the melee and binds only rules. It's familiar to them and they all know the strategies and tactics associated with it, bringing in blast or even range changes the game completely. It's simpler for clans to disallow it so they can be lazy and stick with what they know.

I like when ranged is allowed, not too fond of blasting though.

Typically when people blast they realise they are getting tons of kills, and get a bit pixel-hungry and are slower to throw binds.

 

They also stick out more in robes as they get dragged behind like rangers do, but they have less armour.

 

 

 

We allow good tanks and consistent binders to blast, but most people we would discourage from fire blasting. We actually kill faster with only 2 or 3 fireblasters out of 40 people than we do with more, as our pile stays bigger (people don't get caught in robes and 1 hit) and our binds are better.
