oohh game rooms tournys would rock!!! eather have buy-ins and the winner takes all or have them be like free weekly with prizes giving for free

i think it would be better if "player" chess be added. ex. players would replace the chess pieces. it would take chess the the next lvl. where one controls the players, and uses their abilities. that would take alot of risks and strategies based on the players skills and lvls. but there is a flaw that i dont know how to fix. lvl 100's could be a chess set, and a group of 60's would get owned...but then again. the king and queen could be regular chess pieces. yes!! that works!!

great idea if the chess game was really (despite no one could play easily)

 

 

 

it could change the way we think about chess, if it was like a clan war, it would be awsome. and u would get exp

chess! with farmers as pawns an at the other team its goblins, paladins and heroes as pieces! to bad im not a member...

Not bad at all, I'm not sure on my current FIDE rating but I can roll with the best of 'em.

JAGeX will always be hesitant to add any sort of gambling to RS, and they should be.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They HAVE to be.... Ratings and all that jazz.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the 'Other Games' JAGeX page, there used to be a game thingy with chess, checkers, battleship, connect 4.... but those are 'being redone with new graphics and features'.

so basicly what your saying is, is that the games ready, but they just want to make it pretty, and the only reason we cant play now is because they arent fixing it up fast enough?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alos jagex is so pro, look at the duel arena. The game supports what? risk and reward.

Wow, I understand you guys like chess, but playing chess within runescape seems to take up a lot of time. And, as we all know, the most important factor in raising gp or any skill in RS is time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For that reason, it seems to me that if the games took less time to play, more poeple would play them.

i think the reason that the game room is not exactly popular is that there are no popular games.

this is very possible, when you step in the game room you are taken to a seperate server with nothing but games. every server could lead to this room, it oculd hold more people because you couldnt do nearly as many things here, like mine woodcut, etc. And when you leave you could come back to the server you came from.

If they had the time to introduce it in the first place then they have the time to better it now, I mean they are freinds with pogo, and pogo employees are nice, I'm sure they would let them borrow and tweak a few of their setups, which wouldn't take very long at all.

I'm sure that farming will prove useful in time. I bet herblore seemed the same way when it came out, but now making potions is extremelly useful. JAGeX knows what they're doing, and they're doing a good job IMO.

gambling on skill bases games for an online game would end up having someone in your family or a close friend that is extremely good at the game to play for you
