Foooman
I'm going to be ranging through slayer for a while and I'd like to know which to wear on different tasks. I'm currently 89 range and I use range pots on all tasks. I will be using a Rune c'bow with broad bolts and unholy book on almost everything. Here's a list of the tasks which I'll range; which will be better in void and which will be better in full armadyl? Abyssal Demons Black Demons Baby Black Dragons Bloodveld Lighthouse Dagganoth Dark Beasts Dust Devils (no helm so I'm guessing arma) Fire Giants Goraks Greater Demons Iron Dragons Nechryael Suqah
Danqazmlp
I'd say armadyl, its more versitile and gives better accuracy Want to be my friend? Inuashakent
Void for all except dust devils, and possibly abyssal demons. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
green9090
Dark Beasts- don't range them. They have very high ranged defense- I tried. Melee is a much less painful way to get through this task. If you insist upon trying ranged (I doubt this will happen more than one task), I would say void just because void is plain BETTER than Armadyl, period. Dust Devils (no helm so I'm guessing arma)- You are correct, sir. Unless there are safespots in the chaos tunnels and you want to do something dangerous. Not sure if there are safespots there though. Everything else- Void! I owned a set of Armadyl for a while before I got void, and void is RIDICULOUSLY superior. ultimatballr
Anything you can safespot I would say use void, other than that use Armadyl. I am a firm believer in the versatility of void, but if you don't mind taking a loss on the Arma armor in the process of getting those range levels then go with that for anything you are unable to safe spot. I say loss because I hear that Arma is on a downward spiral at the moment. Apparently, my signature was to big.

Oh, you can damage them alright. I once forgot what I was doing and put on my Guthan's while fighting a dust devil instead of going in to the crypt rats. I hit after that, but... they hit more. Calzo
I own both void and armadyl and like you i am ranging my slayer tasks I find that armadyl is alot more accurate espically agaisnt metals and black dragons but void does hit harder but not as regular. Void is better than armadyl for low defence monsters but the main drawback is you need the whole set to be effective. This is a probelm when you want to cannon tasks in the new desert slayer dungeon as you always need a slayer helmet. Just do what i do and get both, they are both worth the price you pay for them. The time for void and the cash for armadyl.
green9090
I find that armadyl is alot more accurate espically agaisnt metals and black dragons but void does hit harder but not as regular. I must say that one of the first places I tried out my void was a black dragon task, and I was AMAZED how much better it went than when I had used Armadyl there. I do admit that I hate ranging irons and especially steels in either armor though. Too many 0s when I could be meleeing (so I melee). Lol other way around with me =/ Hmm... when was the last time you tried it? I was 94 ranged and used ranged pot when I found it worked well on black dragons. It probably gets better as your ranged level gets higher, because the extra damage and accuracy get more significant (10% of 100 is more significant than 10% of 10, so if it's a choice between adding 5 and adding 10% it depends on the number). At 91 range i think. The difference in levels must make a difference. However void is luckier :P (that was th last time i was at drags)
Foooman
I've had void forever and I just recently bought Armadyl to enhance my fun at castle wars. It seems to me that everyone agrees that void is far superior, except on high defense things such as the iron/black dragons. I won't be safe-spotting anything except for black demons, so wearing void on things like dust devils would be foolish. Thanks everyone for your help. Shelby_Polo
As many people have just told you, Void is the better option, but I just want to back them up. I'm 99 ranged and I got it quickly through Void  GL with ranged Suggest a poll for Tip.it - Here!
whatisup618
If your going to safe spot them then use void. If you going to get hit, or predict you going to get hit a alot from trying to safe spot then use arma. Also a good monster to range IMO is cave horrors too.
