September 9, 200817 yr After laughs, tears, and long nights of fustration; I am proud to declare I hate pixeling and I'm quite sure it hates me back xD After 4 months (3 procrastinating), here's my final result and final pixel signature I'll be making. 100% Microsoft Paint. Cheers folks :D Some things are best left unexamined.
September 9, 200817 yr That looks really nice. ~is all your gunna get for 4 months of work. =D> but it really looks good, except for the bow. Needs to have more of a curve.
September 9, 200817 yr What a good way to end pixelling. A superb result! Nice colours and shading...everything is damn well done. Very nice :D
September 9, 200817 yr Looks like a jpeg. :? It's nice though. danke Schon Sam!^^"Blood runs thicker, oh were thick as thieves you know"-Carl Barât
September 9, 200817 yr Looks great, looks like the spatter filter from photoshop but made in paint, gives it a nice noisy feel in it. By the way have any tips on making a really smooth text in MS paint like you have there? I want to pixel the text my self (on a current wip) but I always get these jagged egdes and using photoshop feels like cheating for me.

I'm gunna assume he uses a lighter shade of black to outline his text?
September 9, 200817 yr Generally it looks nice, but I'm counting 222 colors and that's way too much. First, there's barely any contrast which makes it hard to read, and the messy lines are not helping it. When I zoomed in though, I saw the effects you were trying to achieve and they are nice, but they could've looked much better and more obvious if there had been more contrast and cleaner patterns. September 9, 200817 yr ^ Agreed. I quite like the noisy feel, but using that effect everywhere is just too much IMO. Also, Jad looks like it was originally a lot smaller, and you resized it, distorting it quite terribly in the process. It really is a shame, the rest of the signature looks great, it's just Jad that kind of ruins it for me. :( pixel avvy by me deviantART
September 10, 200817 yr It's alright, but the noise gives it a very LQ JPG feel to it. Good concept though :) 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
September 10, 200817 yr Draw big, then resize it to small. The other way around just looks terrible... You need more contrast in your colors as well. Here be dragons ^ Dragon of the Day
September 11, 200817 yr You never resize pixel art. Thanks To:reddawn509, Hoopster211, JacobRyan, navyplaya, bigsword33, Ferahgo28, speedofsound, Goldwolflord, unknowz, GonAndGary and born2die
September 11, 200817 yr You never resize pixel art. There is a thread for that... viewtopic.php?f=16&t=690610 :? You cannot expect him to do everything, especially in Paint. Wow. That is an awesome piece of work, what a way to end it by going out with a bang! \ My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

All pixel art will look terrible when resized, especially if you make it bigger. The sticky is of no use in this case. Also, there are many pixel artists who only use Paint, and you can make a whole pixel signature in that programme. pixel avvy by me deviantART
September 12, 200817 yr You never resize pixel art. I was just saying that if you had to resize something, it would be better to draw big, then make it smaller other than to draw smaller, then make it big. Here be dragons ^ Dragon of the Day
September 12, 200817 yr As a rule, it is better to make something smaller, than enlarge it. Photoshop is good, but it still has to interpolate these new pixels, which would devastate a pixel signature.
