Should I come back? Honest opinions.

I've been thinking of returning to Runescape for the past week. I currently have a lvl 105 combat /w approx. 1675 total level. I figure if I did come back for a while I could finish up some f2p skills that need some work, then graduate to members. At the same time I don't want to because it has proved to be a bad habit of mine in the past, with school and all.

i guess it really depends on your time management skills...for me i only get membership during the hols to make sure that i'm not over addicted to rs during school term...playing games is a form of relaxation just play hard and work hard ;)

maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cooking

life may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?

my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it

Well if we are basing it on time management skills alone...maybe it would be best to hold off for a bit longer >< I tend to take games too far, always grinding and trying to level things up.

School always comes first. Never let something as unimportant as Runescape get in the way of things that might influence your future. I say give RS a chance, but as soon as things start going down hill quit.

The time management thing is actually very simple: Don't play RuneScape until ALL of your homework is done. Period. I used to find myself estimating how long my homework would take me, and then play RuneScape just leaving myself enough time to do the homework; only to find out that it takes me longer than I originally expected. Then I have to rush to get it done at the last minute and it gets really stressful. DON'T do that. If you pour too many little rocks into a bucket before you put the large ones in, you might find yourself short on space. If you put the large ones in first the small ones will fall nicely into place.

Short version: Bigger priorities come first. Don't procrastinate. ;)

If you remember that, you'll be fine. If you're one of those people that has very little self control... I wouldn't bother.

If you feel like coming back, do it. If you don't, don't come. It's so easy and it's your own choice. If you need to find the motivation from other people, the chances are that you'll fail miserably.

We can always give advise like "do this" or "don't do that" but it is you who decides to log in and play the game. If you don't feel like coming back or playing, then who are we to advise you?

I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.

I would play runescape but not become a member until you truely feel that the game won't interfere with your schoolwork. When i myself buy membership, i feel obliged to "get my moneys worth" by playing even more than usual.

No. Finish school year, and finish your studies with over average grades then come back. Runescape will distract you and will somehow make you less concentrated.
