Ok I have Tried metals before when my stats were way lower and I got alot of them up. Would I, with my stats be able to make a constant profit there?

no, if it was a year or so ago without GE and better drop raates then yes.

Whats the Bar None stats to break even?

There is no guaranteed level, I knew someone who went from 97-99 mage and lost like 10mil.

if youre meleeing you probably will not make much money, youll still make some and get some decent charms (always do iron dragons)

 

 

 

but i would recommend not wasting your time with them

the only way you would break even is when you get a visage, but it will probably cost 20mil in pots before you get one (i have a 1800 kill tally for steels with no visage6 legs and 9 skirts)

it is unlikely you will make a profit unless you are 90+mage or range. and even then you may lose money, depends on how lucky you are.

 

 

 

Ive spent probably at least 5 mil on runes and bolts for metal drags, and gotten one half sheild and one skirt = 200k.

Iron drags always pay for themselves in my experience.

 

 

 

So many rune drops (as in Rune weapons, armour). You are bound to end up having alched up enough money to pay for prayer pots.

 

 

 

And if you flash prayer it is even more economical.

I would say it depends on what your after from the dragons, if you are wanting experience then they are terrible, if your wanting prayer then blue/greens are much better, if your wanting dragon drops then killing lower monsters and buying a skirt/legs is quicker.

 

 

 

If it's just a visage your wanting then yes irons dragons are probably yor best chance.

 

 

 

To melee them though would put you at a loss unless you get dragon legs once per 1/2 trips.

 

 

 

With my melee i can kill approx 80 per trip with a ddp++ and whipping (although most people use a dragon scimmy)

 

 

 

They are fun to kill though but the annoyance of the drops values since the G.E. update has just destroyed them for me.

I'll say no because you'll need at least 90+ attack and strength to kill enough dragons before sipping a ppot.
