Futurama
I'm probably gonna be needed a summer job this year to keep me occupied (got another 11 weeks or something of holidays.) Catch is, i can't stand up for lengths of time - i have this thing where it makes me pass out if i do. So basically, any ideas for a sitting down job? Atlas
At your local mall is there a food court? If so, ask if you can hand out free samples or coupons. Usually you get to sit. How long can you stand up for? Are you anemic?
Evil_Elf
Have you always had that weird standing disease? thats craaaaazy
Multani
No retail for you. See if a local company needs an intern or something. That won't pay very much, but you'll likely be sitting down for a lot of it, plus it's KILLER experience for your resume.
24SE7EN
valet parking? you get to drive cool cars (sometimes :D ) and you'll be sitting down most of the time.
Mr_Putter
valet parking? you get to drive cool cars (sometimes :D ) and you'll be sitting down most of the time. It's a trick! We've all seen that episode of Family Guy. One Mafia mishap and kablamo, you're dead. Watch for bombs.

X_Awesome_X
Try to stalk people at home to buy lame stuff, just like in Boiler Room. stalking may get you in more trouble ;) I dunno if you qualify (age whatnot) but being a delivery driver is good. Futurama
How long can you stand up for? Are you anemic? depends on heat + how much i've eaten, they thought it was anemia, turns out to be an inherited disorder of some kind which they cant cure, never really bother with getting it diagnosed anymore. Have you always had that weird standing disease? Yeah, as has my dad and nan :P No driving as i'm 16 and you need to be 17 to drive here. Preferably nothing outside too as i'm prone to sunburn (got it now ) Stalking people seems fun. Oh er, what am i saying heheh. A call centre sounds like a good job though i dont know if they'll appreciate my laid-back accent :P Thanks for the ideas, gonna have a look around today :)
Predator
hmm. u could like try at a computer shop if u know ur way around the inside of 1 Maybe I should do that... I know my way around the inside of a computer shop all by myself :D Kidding... Cutting the lawn would be good... But, it's very tiring, especially in the summer... But you could get like $40 a day doing it for like 2 and a half hours.

Bmw
If I were you, I would be considering a job at a telemarketing center (we have one around here, a very popular first job, plus they pay pretty decent). If you don't have anything like that around you, apply at a local office that's hiring. Great sitting down jobs, and I believe someone already mentioned it looks great on any resume! :P Gl! indy500fan
i work at a cemetery, and about a third of the time im sitting down mowing (trimming the other times mostly, but that is standing up for around 4 hours and walkiung around and carrying a grass trimmer, so that wouldnt be good for you). if you live in a place that has a pretty big cemetary, they usually hire a few people. you could just say that you cant stand up for long, and they might just put you on mowing. theres always other stuff to do too, you might try there. alternatively, babysit. i know it may sound like a stupid job to do, but you can usually sit the kids down in front of the tv and just sit there. and it doesnt pay bad (usually) either.
