I have been gone for 1.5 months, after band camp i felt that runescape got boring.

 

 

 

I forgot to sell my BGS and now it hurts.

so after being down lots of money... I have about 23m or so i guess.

 

 

 

Why did the market crash??

 

Ags is now 50mish, it was 100+

 

Sgs is like 44!!! 80+ before.

 

Zgs 40m now 26m.

 

 

 

All other items have gone down respectively.

 

 

 

What is with this?

What are the moneymaking methods now?

People are constantly at GWD bringing in hilts and stuff, it's been out for over a year now I think so that's why it's all low/dropping

 

 

 

Barrows is alright because you still get runes and bolt racks

It is a combinataion of time and price manipulating clans.

 

Time - the longer an item is out the more common it becomes. More suply same demand = less cost

 

Price Manipulators - certain clans buy out all of a certain item to create false demand, this raises price. Then they all sell at min and push the price of the items way down. Often the price goes lower than it started at. A few rounds of this and items can go down alot. (wanna see price manipulators in action? look at the graphs for air tallies)

More people doing gw, more hilts and shards, more supply less demand, prices go down. Pretty obvious.

 

Yes barrows is still profitable, 1.5 months isn't very long.

this is quite interesting now, many of the "wealthy" godswords have now become available to the "not as wealthy" crowd.

I am 2 tasks away from a slayer helmet, should i use slayer as a moneymaker or stick to conventional methods?

It's worse than that; I'd say the primary cause of market crash to be kids going back to school and selling off every item they have. That's how I lost 3m on guthans since december. =D>

Keep using Slayer, you never know when you're going to get that rare and expensive drop from a monster, that points you accumulate are good to trade in for Slayer Dart runes which you could sell or use in Barrows.
