So im on my way to 99STR. Still far of, but im getting there. My question is: How much EXP P/H should i be able to get when training at the LVL50 Spiders in the SoS? I am using a Rune Scimi and using STR Pots along with a Rune Berserker. Stats are in SIG.

Well the thing is, i really would train a few hours straight and then see what my total exp gained was un those hours, devide by amount of hours and get a good accurate avg. But i dont play really much and everytime i play for longer than 20minutes at a time i forget to see how much exp i got. But i know 20k-30k is way off, it should be more like 35k-40k a hour. But i just need someone who knows more or less.

hmm i dont know, i was getting 35-40 at ankou will salve ammy, although my strength is very low..

 

 

 

i know spiders are quite good, hopefully you can manage at least 30k :)

Thanks to the stopwatch and my Ignore List (used for taking down notes), I have calculated the xp per hour at around 39k to 42k per hour.

 

 

 

 

 

OFFTOPIC: Oh by the way, I ALMOST got 99 strength at the Giant Spiders but I tele-ed at the very end so I can go kill a few Guards to level up; just so I can see the message and hear the fire-works. :

Just out of curiosity how many hours did you use to get that number teng?

 

And did you factor in the food runs?

Well you could get rid of those food runs with prayer at the black knight fortress, rid yourself of bulky armour, and use +15% strength and attack prayers while you're at it :roll:

 

 

 

And you'll get a few drops too opposed to spiders. They just have lower HP in comparison and there's only 5 near the altar.

I wouldn't use spiders, instead I'd use flesh crawlers, they have more HP there max hit is 1 (or 2), and there aggressive.

They have less hp: fleshcrawlers = 25, spiders = 50.

 

 

 

I'd have to say spiders.

Why not do ice giants like everyone else good money+pray xp ;)

I almost always end the hour mark with food left; usually manage to last for more than an hour.

 

 

 

However, I did a little test (take the result with a pinch of salt though since one test doesn't tell much) and I found that the Longsword gets lesser xp per hour (at around 37k) but however I found out at the end of the hour mark I got more Lobsters left over than when I was using the Scimitar. But as I said, it wasn't many rounds of testing and taking of averages so don't start about the Rune Longsword vs Scimitar debate again. (although I might do more test runs and post my results next time provided if I have the time.)

 

 

 

As for Random events, when they happen, I will stop the timer and start it again after completion of the event so the xp per hour value should be quite accurate.

 

 

 

EDIT: I calculated the values by the hour; meaning I record down the value at the hour mark and restart the timer for another hour. Is this method better than playing for 3 hours then finding the average? I am not sure. Maybe someone can try too?

 

 

 

Lastly, when I tested for these values, there wasn't anyone sharing the spot with me, so the spiders attacked one after the other. Things might be different if there were others sharing the spot with you as they would block the spiders from reaching you.

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: For his strength level, he shouldn't be using Flesh Crawlers because with a 25hp, let's say Slaytanicc hits a 18, then he only needs a 7 to kill off the Crawler; it stifles his ability to hit to his max for most of the time. For spiders, at least he could hit 18s and 17s a few more times than he would with a Crawler. Crawlers will be good for lower-leveled players though. Just my opinion~~

I got 99 strength on last wednesday training at spiders. I was using rune scim str ammy, berserker shield and rune gauntlets. Str pots and jst any food. I could get up to 40k an hour with 95-98 strength and 80 attack.
