TheXxzlx2
If you are that worried over it there are a few cool firefox addons, that will hide an element of page permanently. Ads dont really bother me. Dunno why :D .
Arixe
Jagex has every right to put ads into F2P, it helps pay so that you can play. And yes, they can tell that you block ads. I've been to multiple sites that don't want you using ad-blocking programs and in the space that the ad is supposed to be, it says something like "We notice you have an ad-blocker. Please disable it, ads pay for our servers so that you can use this site for free." But, Jagex should monitor the ads closer. When I was F2P, there were ads that noticeably slowed down my computer (Pentium D @ 3Ghz, 2 gigs of RAM). Some of the ads were bad enough i couldn't even click on the ad to set it to low quality. The ads were removed within a couple days of the first time I saw them, but they really shouldn't of been there in the first place.

Racheya
I honestly don't mind the adverts. Even though I have a terrible laptop, they never used to lag with me when I was on F2P back a few months ago. I don't think people should be able to hide advertisements, I mean seriously, you don't HAVE to pay attention to them or click them. People underestimate how much advertisement can bring, and if it brings more money to Jagex, I'm happy : I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator]. Danno385
If it causes you that much lagg then you can report to jagex that the ad is terible and they will take it away. I did once and the ad was gone in a day and I got a message saying thank you for this report it was one of many for this ad. I don't realy like the pop down ads but I can deal with it. In fact, I do have some pancake mix.

funion987
I don't understand...You can block ads whether Jagez "allows" us to or not. I can think of several ways using Firefox. The Firefox extensions are completely legal and free to use.
Shazarabbit
No I do not think they should be hidden if you are F2P, but i do think that if you P2P there should be a function in the client to remove the advertisements. obfuscator
No I do not think they should be hidden if you are F2P, but i do think that if you P2P there should be a function in the client to remove the advertisements. If you are p2p you can now play on free servers without advertisements.
