I'd probably say take out the hench (man furtherest to the left) and move your archer over. Move the mage (man furthest to the right) inward a little, take something off the flame, and go crazy on the background.

that sounds like a good idea, would turn out much better i think if u had only 1 char in it with a great bg, would give you more to focus on, where as now you tend to just look at the characters.

1) if you mean the mage guy, yeah, i made the ranger and couldnt be bothered to make a mage so i copied that monk to sort of complete the trio sort of thing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2)first time with graphics gale, wasnt sure how big i could go, as there was no border around the 300*150 bit when the window was maximised.

The major problem is that it focuses too much on the torso and legs, and you cut out the heads and hands to do this. And the face is very important to a character. It contains the emotions, sets up moods and varies the overall feel of the image, all of which can be achieved through details. A 6 pack can't do this. :wink:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The next problem is the text. Too big and distracting.

 

 

 

With that out of the way, another problem would be the heads. They look shrunken compared to the ultra-buff body of the characters.

 

 

 

Also try to balance out the shading a little more, and lose the gradient-style and pillow shading. There are a few things in the sigs that are unshaded, while others are over shaded.

 

 

 

And lastly, the ground. Too flat, way too flat.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I like the rips on the ninja guy, good thinking. This is almost "going the distance" to adding details.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'll give more crits tomorrow.. Off to bed!
