Pvp drops

I'm not looking for a lot, I'm looking for something. All I really want is enough to pay for my lobs arrows and runes and occasional deaths.

 

 

 

I looked on the way the drops are supposed to work, and read about the more kills and the longer you stay out of a safe zone the better drops you get amongst other things.

 

 

 

Hows this: I waited 10 minutes, then got attacked by 2 1 itemers who I killed. I then attacked someone a higher level than me who had full addy g and a skull. (I was risking about 70k on f2p) After wasting a bunch of each others food I ran to a hot zone and killed her. She dropped less than 5k worth of junk. I would say it was impressive because she was a higher level, I had let my hp drop to around 10 a couple times, and I had like 5 food left.

 

 

 

With the lure I am using, I have killed well over 10 skulled people in full rune or more in hot zones. I made a bit one day, came back 2 days later with 10 more magic and got 6-7 more skulled full rune kills and got nothing over 5k.

 

 

 

This isn't including the many other kills of people risking over the minimum for f2p, and gotten nothing for it.

 

 

 

Does the drop system need tweaking or am I just that unlucky?

 

 

 

*Edit: Three more full rune kills in hot zones, 2 of them after killing a couple other people. More defense amulets and sardines.

 

 

 

I then got koed, mistaking a rune pure for a noob because he was hitting so low.

 

 

 

I have caused people to lose well over 3m all up on a level 55, then died only once and lost 70-80k worth of stuff and now I'm down like 50k. This isn't including the addy arrows, lobsters and runes which makes it a fair bit more. (death runes I used alone added up to over 50k)

 

 

 

We've calculated the rewards and rates very carefully, so that a successful PKer should be able to get a good income

That' s about 25 lobsters.... what' s the point in risking 70k for just 5k? Multiplying it by 10 would still be useless to RWT and actually useful to PKers.

Basically, the point of that question was to confirm that you didn't really read up on how the system works. Every time you bank, your chances for getting a better drop reset. This way, it rewards those that have endurance and not pures (and don't look at me silly; I have three active pures with this system).

Way to read. I said I hid for 20 minutes and then came out, when looking for people to fight I either get my food wasted by 1 itemers or pjed. Never said it's the mighty way to do it. When I see a door I try the handle rather than bashing it with my head.

 

 

 

With 1 defense and all the 1/no itemers running around attacking everything in sight over and over, waiting in the middle of everything for my drop value to rise would be a stupid idea. I don't know if you like showing how tough your runescape guy is, or whatever your problem is but I tend to stick to common sense.

How can I increase my chances of getting good drops?

 

Several factors determine the value of the drops you can receive. These include, but are not limited to: your Combat level, your opponents' Combat level, the value of items you are carrying, the value of items your opponent was carrying, how long you have survived in a dangerous area on the PvP world, how many players you have killed on the PvP world recently, and whether you are in a hot zone.

 

 

 

Drops will improve if you are carrying at least 75,000 coins' worth of items (or 25,000 coins' worth on a free world) that you will lose if you die - your three most valuable items are not included in this. To get better drops, your victim must also lose at least 25,000 coins' worth of equipment.

 

 

 

Note that if you risk significantly more than 75,000 coins in items, your drops will not improve further, nor will they improve if your opponent loses 25 million coins' worth of items - the values are minimum boundaries.

 

 

 

 

Know where I found that? I read the article which was ONE CLICK away from the main update page. Does it make too much sense to get a lil more info about such a huge update? Me neither.

 

 

 

You didn't have to go to the forums to find out the drop rates (in fact I would forgive you if the info was only available on the RSOF, because I think the place is a crap-infested swampland), all you had to do was look into the info about pking. I don't have much sympathy if you couldn't do that much.

I did also read that page, but apparently not completely. My reasoning is that I had already read about what gives better drops, and missed part of the 'note' at the bottom. Common sense told me that since the drop system is for preventing rwt, Jagex wouldn't have made it possible to get a good drop from an opponent losing so little with just a little planning.

 

 

 

I still say that since I have gotten a lot of kills in hot zones, including many in a row without banking, I should have gotten better drops to at least compensate for the cost of food, arrows and runes. Not enough for rwt to be possible, just something other than junk.

I find this whole Pking thing is a lot easier not using a pure... I not saying you might not have good reasons for using said pure but with a balanced account food isn't depleated as quickly :arrow: more kill without banking :arrow: better drops :arrow: closer to breaking even of making a profit

To reduce risk reduce the value of stuff you are risking (on F2P) to 25k as that is the highest it can go up to while changing drops.

i have a main, and a barrow pure and ITS THE SAME either way. rofl ok try to stay out of a bank when you have 3 1 item dds/ ss / anchor's / crystal bows waiting to tag you at every bank.

 

 

 

i smite, they run into the bank where i get A WHOLE 10 secs to kill them with their prot pray and them running up and down the stairs... ( oh and does MY counter reset because i entered a bank running after the guy?)

Yeah that's what I've been thinking. I found an old pure and I might turn it into a rune or addy pure.

I'll drink to that! Although, the new items should not degrade, or should be repairable. As is, most will NEVER buy the new drops.
