cat666
OK so I've not trained Hunter since before summoning was released but need to raise it soon as my other stats are catching it up. So a few questions: 1. Red Chins are obviously still the way to go however I've not trained since OogLoog was released. I vaugley recall hearing this "ruined" the spots, is this still the case? If so are there new methods? 2. Are boosts worth it? Since I last trained I can use the new pool at OogLoog, and also being 80 summoning can summon the best Hunter boost familiar. If they are worth it, do they stack? thanks! Trust the Gene Genie!
obfuscator
Your hunter level is good, you can use the chin spots. I would think the boosts are worth it but unfortunatly I cannot say from personal experience. obfuscator
You need to go to the feldip hills hunter area, try moving around. Tipit has a pic in the hunter guide. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
Caxis
From my experience, the hunter boosts from familiars is definitely worth it. When I was catching salamanders to train my hunter level, I brought a spirit larupia, which gives a +5 boost. I noticed that the salamanders were entering the traps much more often, and I didn't have as many failed traps. I don't have any definite numbers, but I'd say it was about 15k exp more per hour and I used about 8 pouches.

I'm doing a test right now with a Spirit Kyatt, expect an answer within about half an hour. TEST 1 - Spirit Kyatt Only = 60-70 - Nearly an extra 10k xp per hour. TEST 2 - Mud Bath Only = Raises it 8 levels, depletes at approximately 1 level per minute. TEST 3 - Spirit Kyatt + Mud Bath = Depends on your levels, I'd actually only recommend a Spirit Larupia (for red chins), since the Mud Bath would keep you constantly running back every 8 minutes. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Italian5kamikaze
Invisible boosts do stack with visible. Its like drinking potions while wearing void or a salve amulet. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

Interesting. I forget my exact level and can't check at work (silly firewall) but I believe it is 74. The pool SHOULD boost me enough to be able to lay 5 traps at once which may be worth it, especially as the Artic Bear boosts Hunter significantly. Trust the Gene Genie! Yes, I believe the bear raises it 7 levels, although I'm not sure if invisible boosts will allow you to lay four traps or not (I wouldn't think so, but I don't know for sure), but with the pool, you'll be able to lay four traps for about two minutes before you'd have to run and recharge. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

I figured the bear wouldn't, but it's up to you on whether or not it's efficient training to go back every two minutes (the time will obviously increase as you gain higher levels). You'd have to test the pool, as I'm not 100% sure if you need a base level of 80 or not. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
