If you are after the Purple Cat and you have attempted the puzzle you know how difficult it can be. This is a bit of a rough guide and assumes that the puzzle is the same for everybody. 24 moves and you're on your way.

First of all get your compass pointing north so that the puzzle has the holding pen at the top of the map.

1. bird up

2. bat right

3. spider up

4. snail left

5. bat down

6. lizard left

7. rat up

8. bat right

9. lizard down

10. spider right

12. lizard left

13. bat left

14. rat down

is this the puzzle where u get the wand from the chest? if so then you can do it wayyy easier. just move the bird to the extra cage, and move the square (that doesnt include the bat or snail) around in a counter clockwise manner.

There's actually a very slightly quicker way of doing it, which I worked out (without notes or help hehe \ ) if anyone is interested in saving like, 10 seconds of their time. Thought it might be worth posting, since the Tip.it guide still uses 24 steps instead of my 22.

I've showed 3 other people through this puzzle in this way and it has worked for each of them too, so I think it's safe to assume that everyone has the same starting position from their 1st attempt, or afterwards if they reset. This is of course the 2nd version to get your purple cat, rather than to complete the quest in the first place.

So, if you've already moved animals around, reset them to their start positions for this to work. Move the following animals directly to the empty cage next to them in this order:

1. Blackbird (to holding cage)

2. Lizard

3. Rat

4. Snail

5. Lizard

6. Bat

7. Spider

8. Lizard

9. Snail

10. Rat

11. Bat

12. Snail

13. Lizard

14. Spider

15. Snail

16. Bat

17. Rat

18. Lizard

19. Spider

20. Snail

21. Bat

22. Blackbird (back from holding cage)

Its almost exactly like a mini Treasure Trail Puzzle.

O = Empty Cage

? = Creature

X = Raven (always in starter position)

[This should be your Default]

...? ?

O X ?

...? ?

Now move the raven.

...? ?

X O ?

...? ?

Now, this is what you do:

1. You always want to start with the corners, never try and make the middle "correct" because the middle is the only place where you can freely move the creature without disturbing the rest.

R = Rat Cage

L = Lizard Cage

That is your sole purpose, to get the lizard into its cage and the rat in its cage, then everything else will fall into place because its science, it would be too hard to explain.

So, lets give you a situation:

N = Snail

S = Spider

B = Bat

So, this will be easy, you just need to get your rat and lizard in the correct spots.

So you want the rat BEFORE your lizard. So rearrange it as if the top two were permanent "slots" and the bottom was just a "key." To do that, you need to place your rat® in the bottom left hand corner, so that you can just slip it into place before the lizard when it rotates around.

So don't touch the permanent "slots" until you move the Rat® to its right place.

Now, you want to return the free space to its default position.

Now, you have everything ready, now you make the bottom two permanent "slots" and you make the top two "keys." The whole point of it is to get the rat behind the lizard.

Here we go, the rat® is behind the lizard, now just move them into position.

Now slide the raven back in.

:lol: ROFL thats for the first puzzle (for the broom), it was very easy. To get the cat it is a bit more complicated. :shame: That's why I put "purple cat" in the title. :D
