Waterfiends? Guthans + BGS?

Would i do some serious dmg over long time with Guthans + BGS at waterfiends? Or do i need prayer?

Actually, I've been told that stats like his were fine to go waterfiend.

You were told wrong, his stats will be ineffective. He can kill them but it will be terribly slow due to them having very high defence.

with void and yipi found pray unnessiary, but i did use it once inawhile along with sgs spec for no ppots needed

With Karils, Piety, and Unicorn I can barely get by without Prayer. With Void, bunyip, and no Piety... Protection is DEFINETELY needed.

 

 

 

Edit: To top it off, you only have 88 Defense compared to my 98. (Around ~95 at the time of testing)

Wear karil's as it has high mage and range def without taking away too much from your melee stats (like arma does) and infinity or dragon boots. Also, a zammy spear will do you better than a gs. It's a lot faster with a powerful crush attack (which fiends are weak to). I'd take a super set and pray against range as it's the stronger of their 2 attacks.

 

 

 

A bunyip is highly recommended. You can get by without one, but you'll last a lot longer with one and swallow whole scrolls as fiends drop raw lobs and sharks pretty often...and at least 3 at a time.

With slayer helm, piety, karils, unicorn, sgs, i still find myself praying range occasionaly.

 

 

 

88 defense and void with bunyip no pray not possible unless he gets food drops like every kill :P

Void has the same mage def as Dhide, It also gives attack and str bonus so it actually better than karils to use.

The problem is that he don't got void...so karils/arma would be best options
