Slayr
Hello Tipit. I've got an idea for RuneScape that I think a lot of people would enjoy. Right now, on RuneScape.com we have our highscores that are displayed on the hiscores page. My suggestion is basically to expand those immensely. This would be done by displaying minigame statistics. I think it would be nice if Jagex posted the actual results of minigames on Runescape.com. For example, you just got done playing a game of castle wars. You could go to a page on RuneScape.com, and see the game stats, how many kills each player made, who won, etc. all on an easy to use interface. Also, you could search a user and find all of their games that have been played for a certain minigame. This could create a way for Jagex to create hiscores for each minigame, as opposed to just the three we have now. Of course, not everything that we consider a minigame would be available on this. For example, barrows would not work well on this. But minigames that involve player contact, such as Pest Control, Castle Wars, and Trouble Brewing could be prime candidates for this. Please tell me what you think, and provide feedback. If I have any more ideas, then I will add them to this topic. Thanks!
ctim
This is a great idea. But it would take a LOT of space on their servers (think terabytes.) It is probably to expensive for Jagex to consider right now. It would be really nice if they did though. 91% percent of the people polled said they were liers. The other 9% lied to us. More like yottabytes! kilo- mega- giga- tera- peta- exa- zetta- yotta- Nah just kiddin lol. It would take some serious hardrive and bandwidth space though...but it would be really cool to see that I have scored 247 times in castle wars! :
Will H
Or maybe put in some signs next to the minigames which display all that detailed information for the last 20 games or something? I suppose if you want them all in one place, there could be some kind of 'Minigame Super-sign' somewhere. It's always better if we can keep as much as possible in-game for accessibility. EDIT: The Highscores are only on the website instead of ingame because we can use them for dynamic signatures and stuff. Generally you only want to refer to one or two exceptional games in which you participated, so print-screen is sufficient. ~ W ~

Only would work for themed worlds, which means there would be maybe reports of small amounts of text (20kb or less?) every 5 minutes, if that? 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th

It would have about the same number of characters as a lite hiscores page, and that's only 0.44 KB. Adding in all the page formatting, etc. that's 127kb per game. But still, this is next to nothing. A 1.5TB storage drive is around US$250.

Yeah I said I was kidding...but I think it might add up for all those games that will have been played after a while.

O_o I never recall any bugs with the current minigame score boards...The other minigames would be just as easy to implement. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
