This is far and away the best shield for Mages, but is it worth its hefty price tag of 67.1m? This would would make a mage extremely formidable in Castle Wars or Clan Wars, and PKing if you risk it. It gives +28 mage attack over a rune kite, +30 mage attack over a DFS, and +23 over a rune defender.

 

 

 

I am considering buying one, but I can't decide if it is worth paying that much. I'd appreciate some input.

I think you'll find it difficult to buy it for that price Drag, but even if you did, although it's good for mages, do you really want to be paying out 67m+ for Castle Wars? There's not much else that mage is used for other than PKing, Barrows and DKs, but 67m? That's a looot of money.

It has huge melee defence bonuses on it as well, that's why it has a defence requirement. After all, it is still a shield.

Trust me there's a hell of a lot you can do with 67m other than buying a kick-[wagon] mage shield. ;)

Although if you do decide to buy the shield, look on the RSOF, because I believe they're overpriced as of now.. You might be able to get a piece of 3rd Age in the trade if you're lucky.
