July 5, 200521 yr Why can't you just let me act cool, saying I live in Sealand. Because once we started this little argument one of us needed to be the fool. I needed to prove myself right in order for you to be the pleb of the day and not me :D muahaha *fluffles* I'll addmitt defeat and put "Pleb of the day 05-07-2005/06-07-2005" in my sig. us americans will get confused with your backwards listing of the month and day. But you've gotta admit it makes more sense. 05-07-2005 implies 5th day of Month #7, 5th of July. 07-05-2005 implies month #7, day 5. It just sounds too star trekky/irrational.

July 6, 200521 yr I like the way we (Canada, I guess the US too) order dates. Month-Day-Year. For example, 04/17/05. Most people, when talking about that date, would say "April 17th, 2005", not "The 17th of April, 2005". Well, maybe they do other places, but not here :P

In England we tend to say the 17th of April, but of course over in America + Canada they're always like April 17th! Wow, that actually makes things so much clearer. Thanks! :D This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
July 6, 200521 yr Hmmm, i've always preferred our date format. It just seems more logical to have date, month, year, ascending in 'size'. Especially when said out loud, it's the (for example) 6th day of the 7th month of the year 2005. [/off topic] Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

[/off topic] Yeah but do you say that irl? :P IMO July 6th, 2005 is more natural, but I've only been using it my whole life sooo... yeah :P I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.
July 6, 200521 yr Ironically, I've never heard an American call Independence Day "July the Fourth"; only "Fourth of July". I was going to say what Rizla said. Anyway, Runesmithie, though people wouldn't necessarily have said it, that was how it was written on all official documents: "On this, the Fifth day of the Sixth month of the year 1951 of our lord etc.". deviantart account

Very true, however, September the 11th is only referred to by that way or 9/11. Ah, what fun trans-atlantic querks we have :D This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
