FYI: Remember this is a rant, so don't even bother making posts telling me to "get over it"

 

I know that, yet I still want to vent some in game frustration kthxbai...

 

 

 

 

OK, so I just complete the nice long Monkey Madness quest (If that wasn't enough to throw me off puzzle box's. And being in a happy mood I decide to go do that clue scroll I had left in my bank from... well I can't remember.

 

 

 

Starts of nice, with a few Uri tasks and such. Then I get a puzzle box to complete... I'm fine with that, and eventually end up finishing it.

 

I then get a few anagrams before meeting my next box...

 

 

 

Instead of going on about the repetitive state of my clue task, I will list what I have had so far... (for just one clue task)

 


  •  
    6 Box Puzzles (Like what the? I figured 2 would be enough...)
     
    4 Uri tasks
     
    5 Anagrams.
     
    2 trips to the wilderness for some good old digging.
     

 

 

 

Oh and the best bit? I am still doing the clue task as we speak. I swear to god if I don't get a decent reward out of this I will [insert imaginative angry actions here]

 

 

 

 

I'm fine with 1 / 2, but now it's just getting repetitive and amazingly slow...

The chance of getting something good from this clue is no different to any other. I can understand your frustration, but seriously... Lose some of the attitude :thumbdown:

What do you mean attitude XD I know full well that what I get is not at all dependant on the lifespan of my clue task. I'm not meaning to sound arrogant by "expecting a decent reward" Because to be honest, I know deep down it wont happen :P

 

 

 

And great, just got another Puzzle Box... *cries*

I suggest you slow down a bit, it may be a bug. Post on the RSOF, and try to get the attention of a J-Mod, you might find that if you complete it in a weeks time, you may only have 1 or 2 more trials to do.

 

 

 

The amount you've done so far seems way over the top. Usually there's no more than 2 puzzles in any trial :shock:

I seriously think Jagex should refine the Clue Tasks system. Adding a few more checks/variables into it really could prevent the chance of such an epic fail of a clue scroll(excuse the meme)

You cannot get more then 7 different clues in one clue task. Either this is a bug or you are exagerating.

 

 

 

On the positive side, I used to hate puzzle boxes too. As you get more practice they will actually become quite fast.

 

 

 

The first puzzle I ever did, the Monkey madness one, took me two hours. :wall:

 

However, on a clue, over the last couple months, no puzzle has ever taken me more than 5 minutes, and I have completed some in less than 30 seconds. :)

Well yeah, Would be a bug then (I do recall having to log off before finally being able to finish the task... I did kind of rush through them as Mylez mentioned.)

 

But my rant still stands in which I hate puzzles and think they should rework the variables in the task to a better standard. :P

 

 

 

And yes, it's true that practise makes perfect, I now feel more able to take on a puzzle box quicker than before :D

Yeah, the max tasks for a level 3 clue happen to be 7. So I would file this under 'bugs and suggestions'. Your user name really isn't increasing respect; your name is how you present yourself to the outside world. You might consider making a new account with a more mature name.

My name being too "immature" Sorry but I didn't know you had to not swear/have a proper name to become part of your "mature" group :roll: If that's your logic I would rather not follow it because I find that... well pathetic to say the least.

 

 

 

They should like offer to pay like 75k or something to solve the puzzles for you. or like something alot higher? maybe 250k? so if your really stuck you can buy your way out like MM

Clues would be even less worth it; unless you make very low amounts of money it isn't even nowdays. I just drop clues if I get a puzzle; it doesn't happen too often with the 7 task per clue limit.

Swearing is against the rules of this forum, a forum that also likes to endorse Jagex' rules. Inappropriate nicknames are frowned upon by the community and there's really no reason to call this attitude pathetic, as your taking part in this forum indicates a modicum of desire to be part of that very community. Personally, I couldn't care less if you change your name or not, but your name does create a certain impression.

 

 

 

They should like offer to pay like 75k or something to solve the puzzles for you. or like something alot higher? maybe 250k? so if your really stuck you can buy your way out like MM

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume that in the several years that TT were out you were the only one out of millions of people to discover it instead of saying you lied.

 

 

 

As for the name, I'm not saying it isn't mature enough for me; I'm simply saying a name like that in a PG forum WILL make people assume your an immature, attention seeking teen, and thus respect you and your posts less. Simple fact of life; present yourself as mature and intelligent, and people will treat you as such. Present yourself as a young teen in the 'swearing every other word so people think im cool' stage, and you won't get much respect.

The innocent ppl who would get otherwise offended can't notice it, as they lack the pervyness necessary to notice it. And the pervy people who see it, they know what it means, and it's only pervy cause they were looking for the pervyness, therefore they cannot be offended by it. ::'

Doesn't mean they are perverts or looking for it; it's sitting there staring them in the face. Maybe it's just more obvious for me, as I have a touch of dyslexia. I doubt it, though.

Well if you think you're right, report it to the mods. Spamming a topic and flamming a fellow tipiter is certainly not the way to go about it.

I really see no spam/flames in this thread... Just a whole bunch of posts based upon another topic other than I had originally intended :D
