at your lvl the best way with smithing is steel bars if ur p2p then turn into c balls as well

If you have the cash to buy I would say mine coal then buy the expensive thing such as mith or addy (In your case it would be iron, which is not too expensive) Smith into bars and then re-sell those for a big profit or smith the bars into something else, preferably plates.

mining pure ess gives 140k gp per hour and ...5k xp.

 

Smelting iron ores with ring of forging is slow xp but a steady profit if you sell the ores...even if you smith arrow heads, it's still a profit.

 

 

 

edit: you might want to try shilo gems, nice xp and profit with standard gems... not the shilo specific ones.

i mine and i smith and if u mine 250 iron and 500 coal then u can make 250 steel bars then sell them they sell for 607 minimum atm and after u sell the steel bars you have enough money to buy back the iron and coal and u keep getting more and more ingredients and then you keep selling right now im at 750 steel bars which is 400k its a little time consuming though but great money

Most people dont count in mining something completely different and then using the money from that to buy the items.

yes but wouldnt it be easier 2 mine the stuff then smith it so you dont have 2 exactly mine alot of gold ore

You get more money for the gold ore than for the smithed products you would make out of it, and gold gives little smithing experience (unless you've got the gold gloves from the Family Crest quest).

In P2P gold is still top cash in mining.

And mining 2 coal 1 iron takes longer than 1 gold, and 1 gold is slightly more than them. :)

Well, you'll have to get to 55 mining and 50 smithing on yourself. From then on, mine mithril and coal at the mining guild and use superheat. Bank when full of bars. Really the best way out there.

Smithing, it's basically iron ore with rings of forging, and you won't get THAT much profit. Really, the only good profit (that I know of) is unfinished mith bolts at the Blast Furnace. I'd reccomend mining Gold ore, selling that, then using the money to buy the ores for steel and selling the bars (or if you're P2P making cannonballs).

"Noob" is the insulting version of "newb." And as Kazel said, there's not a ton of fast profit to be had in smithing, especially not when compared to other methods of earning money like mining essences, woodcutting, hunting (for p2p) and even fishing at high levels. As for mining, mining gold ore to sell in exchange for buying the coal is a good idea, instead of wasting time gathering the coal yourself. If you go this route, either smelt then sell the steel bars (for more profit) or smelt and smith the steel bars, then sell what you make (for more experience).

 

 

 

Also, if you take the second, more-experience route, as I would recommend, be sure to pick up a morphic tool from Stealing Creation if you're p2p! The experience boost will prove invaluable.

I wouldn't reccomend using the rewards from the new minigame, they are still bugged. They don't even have an animation and you get the resource very slowly.

The rewards from SC are excellent for smithing, just not mining.

I suggest mining gold if you can get into the guild - banking and then selling at a high amount, with that money buy 1x iron ore and 2x coal, smelt into steel bars.

 

 

 

If P2P, I still suggest mining gold at Tzhaar, 3 ore spawns there and 4 outside, banking them and selling them at a high amount, and then buying 1x iron ore 2x coal and smelting into steel bars.

 

Then cannonballs.

hrm.. thats better than smelting the gold ore with the gold gauntlets thingy?

to all who are still unclear about this i am f2p.

Since you're f2p, mine the gold in the crafting guild, or if you can't get there, I suppose that Karamja volcano with explorer's ring 3 might end up being your other option if you can't get to the crafting guild.

 

 

 

Other than that, follow the steps above; sell gold ore, buy coal, forge steel bars.
