It's been 14.6 hours since I planted my fruit tree...

Featured Replies

I planted a fruit (apple) tree this morning (at/earlier than) 9:40 A.M.

It's now 12:38 A.M., which is over 14.6 hours and my tree isn't fully grown yet (none are, of the 4 I planted)

Anyone know why?

Can someone explain that to me?

I heard something about "ticks".. well whats the maximum time it would take to grow fully?

Thanks

Yeah it's taken over 30 for mine before

Iv had the same probelm yesterday with my apple tree ( whick i quess is what your grwoing ) i think there i was a mistake in the coding when they did an update or something

It doesn't always take 14.6 hours. It varies.

Srsly, check your fruit trees at the exact same time everyday and you won't have to worry about it at all.

Aww, but think if I checked it before I go to bed, I'd increase my exp 150% :S

Even if you pay the farmer, it can still get diseased. So it can get diseased and take longer to grow. Maybe it gets diseased a couple times

The "ticks" you're thinking of are the farming update intervals. These occur every five minutes, and after a certain number of ticks a plant will grow to the next stage. For flowers, for example, they grow a stage every tick. This means that if you put it in the ground right before a tick it will immediately sprout to the next stage of growth, while if you put it in just after a tick it will take an extra five minutes or so to grow.

Also, if a tree gets diseased, it will take longer to grow. That could account for one of them, but probably not all four. Just check in a day later.

No you'd just end up messing up your sleep schedule because 14.6 hours is a wack amount of time and each day the picking times would be later and later if each fruit tree took exactly 14.6 hours to grow. You're better off checking your trees at 4pm every day or something.

Nah think about it...

(we'll round to 15 for ease right now, 2k xp per tree, assuming you wake up at 10 A.M.)

Day 1

10 A.M. plant

1 A.M. check, plant

Day 2

4 P.M. check, plant

Day 3

10 A.M. check, plant

1 A.M. check, plant

Day 4

4 P.M. check, plant

as opposed to

Day 1

10 A.M. plant

Day 2

10 A.M. plant, check

Day 3

10 A.M. plant, check

Day 4

10 A.M. plant, check

First method: 10,000 xp

Second method: 6,000 xp

I that's what she saided your comment in the clan chat. "i've waited 14.6 hours and my tree hasn't grown yet."

You could always use a nature ammy, easy to check if they have grown that way.

Get a nature amulet and bind it to your chosen tree patch. Remember that trees will take longer to grow if they get diseased.

Can someone explain Nature Amulets real quick?

I can only have one?

I can only bind one to one tree?

If I plant all trees at same time, assuming none get sick, will they all get fully grown at same time?

yeah, pretty much. one amulet per one patch and you can check if it's done or not.

14.6 hours is the average time for fruit trees to grow, hope you're using supercompost even if you're paying the farmer (since some people think it's a waste). most of the time, they'll grow within 24 hours.

Everythign you said is indeed the case, except the last bit. Each tree can take a different time to grow, but, if you plant them all at the same time, when your nature amulet tells you one is grown, chances are the others are too. It doesn't mean they all are, but it's a lot lot easier to just have a nature amulet tell you than sitting with an alarm clock or going to visit every half hour.
