Ok so i want to know what would be the best ranging gear for every day slaying :P ATM I only have black d'hide, rune c'bow, archer helm (also slayer helm), and an archers ring. My range level is 80, so i think i can wield any ranging gear. I don't have much money too spend on items...but i could save up for whatever you may suggest. That's all I can think of...oh yea...should i sell the ring? and if i did what would be best to use instead of it. That's all. Thank you :D

God coif> Archer helm. Void range is the best range gear, except for monsters with high defence. Slayer helm doesn't work for range.

Best gear: Morrigan's Coif, Fury, Morrigan's body, Morrigan's chaps, Ranger boots, Morrigan's Javalin, Ava's Accumulator, Archer's Ring, Unholy Book. If that's too expensive for you, swap the javalin for rune c bow and armor for Armadyl. Use void for low defence monsters.

i don't think i could ever get void....pc is like the most boring mini-game out therein my opinion :( event when i try to motivate myself to play some more i just get really tired of it, very quickly.

 

And the reason i said slayer helm was because it would be useful for training range while train slayer if i need to fight spectres and all that.

 

oh yeah and i think i should put a budget on this..the most i could spen would be bout only round 3mil maybe 4mil :oops:

void, when tanking use arma pl or blk and v skirt

blk dhide is standard, karil is junk unless u need the extra mage protection. if u dont want to get void range,which is the best for everyday ranging then arma is the way to go. pvp armor is junk for slaying with.

I would disagree with the above poster, Karil's is preferable for slaying for its extra magic defense. Also as long as you make over 14k/hour, the repair costs are covered. :

void is really worth it!

 

it was horrible getting it buy its epicness lasts with you forever

 

adds around 5K per hour to your range exp :D

Armadyl is OK, but not really worth the money. It doesn't sound like you're a die hard ranger, you only mentioned everyday slaying. For that, Black D'hide, Karils, and God D'hide is perfectly fine. Also, Broad/Addy bolts with Rune C'bow are very good indeed. Cheap and effective. Archer helm/god coif is also fine, if you have some cash to spare, get Armadyl helm, it's got a few bonuses extra, and looks cool :

 

I tend to use Karils on safer tasks, and Black D'hide on more risky tasks. Good luck!

 

 

 

Btw, Void is good *if* you have the patience to get it, and not lose it :D

I really do want to get my range up but I don't want to get bored while doing so. i don't like yaks...i tried them. After one level I gave up on them. Thanks for the info Mylez :D Guess i' ll just wear black d'hide, god coif/archer helm(or save up for arma helm), rune c'bow, broad bolts, and maybe snakeskin boots? Also I don't think +4 range attack bonus is worth 700k :( any ideas on what i could use in the spot of the ring,boots, and gloves? Also fishy I don't think I would be able to afford all the cannonballs for training. =/

Ring: Archer, life, wealth (personal preference)

 

Boots: Snakeskin, Dragon, Ranger

 

Gloves: Barrows, Vampbraces, Combar bracelet

Don't bother with any piece of Armadyl. It's only slightly better than it's d-hide counterparts. Void is the only thing I use when ranging slayer, even against dark beasts with high defense I've found void to be faster.

I suggest keeping your black dhide and buying a cannon. Obviously that is the best range gear...

Snake skin boots give a 3+ range attack

my budget went down a whole lot. Today i died at spectres and i lost my slayer helm and my archers ring. I was fighting them and i let my hp fall down to 10 -.- then i was picking up some loot and they hit a perfect 10 on me :x I tried to reach my grave as qucikly as possible. I got right next to it and it collapses -.- . So i only had bout 1mil in my bank. I bought my mask and I went to keldigram and bought me a pretty new grave :( So atm i have like ogp :oops: Stupidity strikes again #-o

Guthix coif is under 100k, so you can use one of those with black d'hide top and bottom. Barrows gloves > black d'hide vambs for hands. Ranger boots > snakeskin boots for feet. Fury > glory for neck. Rune c'bow and broad bolts for your weapon. Unholy book > book of balance for the shield.

Your fine. You have 30 seconds after it collapses to pick up your items. So if your anywhere near it when it collapses, you can still get them, especially if you were standing right next to it.

yeah well thanks but all this seems kinda expensive. And dying isn't really helping me much. So can any of you guys could suggest something a bit cheaper? I must be annoying you guys now with this :( sorry but I just want to know an effective and cheap way to train range.

REALLY?!?! when i got there my grave collapsed and there was nothing there except bones...What's up with that? :x

 

And i don't use a wealth anymore...been seeing that i get better drops without it :?
