December 9, 200817 yr How long do they last? Are they worth getting? How much do they help wen pickpocketing? Any help is great. 1) A while. I used mine for 2 hours and they didn't go down a stage. 2) Yes. 1K for an increased success rate is win. 3) I'd estimate a 25%-50% success rate increase.
December 9, 200817 yr They help a lot just buy them because they cost like nothing? Well 1k is still like nothing to me :P
December 9, 200817 yr You don't sell them, you use them till they wear out. They sell all right, if you want to sell them, but not that great.

December 9, 200817 yr Author Well I brought one pair and they've almost entirely degraded in less than 30min. I think I'll just stick to pickpocketing without them. Thanks for all the help anyways. ;) Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig!
December 9, 200817 yr Well I brought one pair and they've almost entirely degraded in less than 30min. I think I'll just stick to pickpocketing without them. Thanks for all the help anyways. ;) I blackjacked bandits for 2 hours and they didn't degrade at all. wierd. maybe it's random?
December 9, 200817 yr Well I brought one pair and they've almost entirely degraded in less than 30min. I think I'll just stick to pickpocketing without them. Thanks for all the help anyways. ;) That seems remarkably fast to me as well. Generally it takes me about an hour of constant pickpocketing to get a pair even close to breaking. And @69pwneduross, seriously, please show some manners. You hijacked this thread (aka you didn't start it, you didn't answer any questions, you just jumped in rudely with your own questions), you don't use proper grammar, which is the LEAST you can do to spare my eyes, and you ask questions that could easily be discovered. And it's a forum, which means there's no need to rush to post, which means that you CAN take the time to use proper spelling and grammar. Right now it's reminiscent of a baby pounding happily away on a keyboard. I mean, come on. "Do they buy well?" Just go to the GE, put in a couple k on a pair, and see. Don't make us waste our time answering questions you should be finding yourself.
December 9, 200817 yr im using fine grammar everything is spelled right. im in a spot where i cant get out of without dieing. i didn't know that talking in a thread that one person talked to last time was illegal by coming into this thread ive learned something so i dont care what you say

December 9, 200817 yr Ok you don't have to capitalize everything in your sentence when everyone knows what your saying
December 9, 200817 yr im using fine grammar everything is spelled right. im in a spot where i cant get out of without dieing. i didn't know that talking in a thread that one person talked to last time was illegal by coming into this thread ive learned something so i dont care what you say Thanks for proving yourself wrong in your very own defense. It's "dying", not "dieing." What do you mean, you can't get out of without dying? I have no idea what you're talking about, unless it's a mangled metaphor for the fact that everyone is beginning to take offence at your posts. And by the way, when you type "I" it helps to push the shift key so it doesn't come out as "i". And while thread jacking is not illegal, it's not so nice to divert answers from the original poster to your question when you could make your own topic. @ the OP: I would still recommend that you use the gloves, they do speed up training. Since you need the hunter level just to wear them, go have a dozen or so made, then just switch to the next pair once they break. That's my strategy, and I've noticed a marked improvement in gaining thieving levels. Oh, and to finish this sentence, I'm going to end it with a PERIOD.

December 9, 200817 yr Well considering how this isn't school, and you don't have to have perfect grammar on the web, I'm going to keep continuing to type how i like OK? thank you
December 9, 200817 yr Well I brought one pair and they've almost entirely degraded in less than 30min. I think I'll just stick to pickpocketing without them. Thanks for all the help anyways. ;) Its probably because you do constant pickpocketing with them while roberthree does blackjacking, which involves hitting them before trying to thieve them (It might actually degrade upon a successful pickpocket, not sure). Uhm, i personally never used mine, because well, i like penance gloves better. The trouble used to obtain gloves of silence are hardly worth it, unless of course your thieving high leveled creatures like heros or something. @69pwneduross -Please don't create a flame war -This is Help & Advice, you ask questions or contribute by answering questions, many of your posts are spam. If you continually spam a single thread that is not yours, your pretty much thread hijacking. Although I agree about not making another thread just to ask a question that pertains to this topic, its kind of stupid to ask trivial questions you can solve yourself, spamming included. -The way you type in my opinion is very important, it reflects your character, personality, and you express yourself through your words, if you think typing in a chaotic matter is fun, by all means do it, but you come off as illiterate and stupid to me if you do when you could easily format it as you did your last post. It also makes your post more readable. :
December 9, 200817 yr It's worth it. They're not too expensive and you might have the levels to repair them or make your own (crafting, hunting). December 9, 200817 yr OMG people!!! Just help the guy and stop picking on him!!! There is no reason for that, this is a help forum no matter what type of question is asked. Now, just wanted to remind that you that you can fix them if you have the crafting level. It saves some moeny and you can keep using the same gloves. You use dark kebbit fur with the degrading gloves and they become just like new.
