Before you read this.. i am not racist, i have many friends that are jews, blacks and so on, i believe in a jewish state, and i support israel in this developing war.

 

 

 

At first reading through this topic, I agreed that names like that shouldn't be allowed, but now that I have read through everything... some of you guys just need to grow up, on both sides;

 

 

 

To people who make names that are racial and so on and so on: Grow up, you're not cool just because you put someone down in your name, and most likely you really don't "hate jews" or what ever is in your name, you just do it for attention, or to "be cool".

 

 

 

To those who whine and say they get their feelings hurt: You also need to grow up. So what you're a jew and they have hitler in their name, they are just most likely young and ignorant, get over it. "Well hitler killed 6mil of my people during the holocaust"... Yes I know and its horrible... but tough sh*t, bad things happen in life, and you just have to get over it, you, or a whole race/ people, can't go on for the rest of eternity wanting pity from everyone. Same with slavery, yes it was a horrible part of history, but blacks can't keep going on feeling bad for them selves and wanting pity from everyone for something we had no control over. People try so hard to not hurt black peoples feelings.... BLACK PEOPLE AS A WHOLE ARE MORE RACIST THAN WHITE PEOPLE. And notice how I said as a whole.

Political correctness is going to be the downfall of this country (usa). Everyone worries about hurting peoples feelings, and making sure that no one is the loser. Did you know that in most pre-schools now adays, the teachers aren't aloud to teach the kids games like tag and duck duck goose... because someone looses and they might get their feelings hurt. THATS LIFE. IN LIFE SOMEONE MUST LOSE! This generation of "non-losers" are going to grow up to all be a bunch of babies... non of them will be able to make it on their own. Now lets get back to how someone must lose... how do you think we got were we are? And by this, yes, i mean evolution. Someone had to lose for us to evolve... someone had to die, someone had to be the loser, but look where it got us... So whats left? If no one is left to lose, how will we ever progress? Will we start to retrogress?

 

 

 

Well anyways i think i now have just about everyones panties all in a wad, so i think ive done my job here.

 

 

 

And if no one could read this post with out freaking out and handling it in a mature way... that just proves my point that you guys need to grow up.

ive had 2 people in my time palying rs say i should ahve m account banned because of the name.. so i tell them my name is simply the american team 69ers is best but it doesn't fit.

 

 

 

But in reality every day 1-3 people will randomly say to me, cool name, wicked name, wow amzing i love that name, hey 69** wicked name.

 

 

 

i dnt feel i should ever be banned its not really offensive my name is an opinion, and its something all mature people do. I just hope someday when i reach the glory page tehre isnt some uproar of people feeling my name is unapropriate, when i know that 80% love it 15% dont know what it is and 5% take it abit to far and would actualy find it offensive.

That's what separates the respect people from the random wannabe-cool-poster. Punk4ever has a point of view, and can defend that, in a mature way. I suggest you learn to do the same, it'll be much better.

 

 

 

Anyways, there are some things indeed that bother me:

 

 

 

2 or more spaces It's so darn annoying trying to guess if the guy you want to report has 6 or 7 spaces in his name...

 

copycats Just making a slight change to an existing username.. Most likely to scam. We've had our share of the fake zezima's, bluerose13x's, etc..

 

Flaming names By this I mean dissing another character in your username. Ive gotten pm's in-game from 'vmser pha q'. That's just not right.

 

The X name X, I name I, etc.. stuff Allright, Im getting quite bored with these, since often this isn't even the same person. How many chars have names like 'name2', 'name jr','namepk', 'x name x', 'I name I', 'name pure', ...?

 

Wanna-be tough names Allright, what's with all the 'silly person', 'thug', 'coke', 'weed', etc.. related stuff? It's lame IMO.

 

Endless variations on the same theme How many characters would have a name based on: The Lord of the Rings, DragonBall Z, Pokemon, Yugi-Oh, or whatever? If none of the suitable names are available, at least have the decency to be original, instead of making a lame attempt at making another horribly confusing variation.

Punk4ever, I really think that you are over reacting too much. People could say oh I hate punks people with that name insult me. Really it's only a game, and if you don't like a person's name why can't you just ignore it. I'm japanese, if I saw someone with the name crazykamikazepilot or something I won't be insulted at all. Why? Does it really matter what people who you don't know say about you? O, wait sorry they aren't even saying it to you...

 

People in real life have obsene names too. A racist can name his/her child a racist name and are you going to be insulted too? How about on T-shirts, you've had to see inapproriate stuff on those stuff, racist too. Are you going to start punching someone whos wearing a T-shirt that you don't like?

 

And I'm not even talking about real life, all this is is a game. If you can't handle someone with a bad name, then maybe playing the game is a little too much for you to handle.

 

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe people with those kind of names is like someone punches you right in the face and starts laughing. If it is really like that to you, then ya change their names, but do you have to bann them? Ok first off, you people really need to grow up like most people said. What are you guys like 8 year old, who saw the name "hitlr666" and you stopped playing and told your mom about it? Well I have seen people with "Nazi" in thier name, "Jew Hater (in different spellings)" and other "offensive" words as you might call them.

 

 

 

I also agree that people with a bunch of numbers and\or spaces in thier name, can get annoying. I mean Today i almost got scammed 100k for 1004 gp...and then when I declined, I looked for his name, found it, and I tried to report him but I couldnt. Thats why we shouldnt have spaces in the Runescape screennames.
