DarkFall - Officially Launched

Yea, yea, yea, last post was back in February, some may say to let this game die, but meh - it's proving to be something worthwhile.

The developers have, since February, been working hard on the game and fixing the issues that made the game so freaking horrible. To my surprise when I came back to read about the game and find out what was happening, the mood was much more relaxed than it was at pre-launch and beta testing time. The ridiculous bugs like godmode, teleporting, going invisible and the like cease to exist. The lag and crash issues (that I never had) have been 'reduced' significantly as well.

And the way the developers have been keeping tabs on the community forums, keeping devblogs up and keeping people informed on what is going on behind the scenes is really showing that they do have a lot of dedication to this game, and perhaps in another 6 months, the game will be how it should have been on release.

Or perhaps sooner.

Go read this over:

http://www.darkfallonline.com/expansion/

That is a FREE expansion, with the release of the North American servers. I always had a ping of 35 to 40 from Canada to their European servers. That's just incredible in all honesty, but now with localized country servers, the pings should be epic. This expansion however isn't a technical one, it's the content that was 'suppose' to be in the package on release.

Technically they didn't lie, they lived up to their promise for an American release, but not for the Europeans...:P

But yea, just read the descriptions for the player owned houses, city tools, and everything else in there. The amount that you can do with the towns, the houses and everything else is pretty overwhelming, and a lot more than I thought was actually going to be useful for.

Then again make up your own decisions and go read the forums; I'm so confident I'll link you directly to the forum:

Then you can go check out the booming clan side of things too, since there's supposedly 200+ player involved sieges daily:

Few sieges on this page:

Editing isn't the greatest but the content is good.

I don't know if anyone left this to die or actually kept tabs on it, or played it at all, but so far it's looking so much better than it previously was before. Like I said before another 6 months goes by and we'll see a completely new face on the game.

Hate me for bumping this or not, its worth giving the info.

They're making people pay for a new game to transfer over from EU to NA. Lol.

That's only for priority. If you wait you'll be transferred over for free. They're just cashing in on the demand to be first on the server. Meh, can't complain as they already stated this back in January.

idk I only get my info from the forum warriors. I don't care about darkfall at all.
