Bloodredsword
No there really arn't any huge differences besides not coming with an HD or coming with an HD. Isn't the pro only $50 more then the arcade anyway? Can't you just save up $10 more and buy the pro? And yes you CAN play original xbox games on the arcade. pryomancer
An Arcade is just a Pro without the hard drive. It's the Elite that has better hardware and stuff.
Lenticular_J
Yeah, I vote save up for an Elite, but if you really want it now, that's a good deal. I believe the Pro's hard drive is only 20gb. I think mine is, at least. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
aquariusman
They just changed the Pro hard drive to 60GB. Well, I'd look at what else the Arcade comes with versus the Pro, Here. Basically, Pro is $100 more, comes with a 60GB hard drive versus a 256MB memory stick for Arcade, but also the Pro has a component AV cable (Allows you to get a better picture if you have a TV supporting it), and also includes an Xbox Live headset + an Ethernet cable. The Xbox Live Headset is $30, you're paying $40 for the 60 GB hard drive, and then you'd need to get a network cable if you're also getting Xbox Live, which are generally relatively cheap (The same length that comes with the Pro would be around $10 if I'm correct). Basically, you could buy the Arcade, then buy everything that comes with the Pro separately, and it would cost less. On top of this, Arcade comes with 5 free Xbox Live Arcade games, whereas Pro comes with Kung Foo Panda and Lego Indiana Jones. Arcade is still better/cheaper. There's no such thing as regret. whiteguy
An Arcade is just a Pro without the hard drive. It's the Elite that has better hardware and stuff. Why does people say that? It's the same thing with a bigger hard drive, they just grab one from the production line to another and paint it black. My Last.fm
pryomancer
No they don't... The Elite is built with different hardware, it's better quality and much less prone to a RROD.
aquariusman
I thought that was the deal with all new Xbox 360's since... a few months ago. Besides, considering that they may have to replace any 360 with a RROD, the smart thing to do would be to make all consoles less prone to RROD. There's no such thing as regret. Faux
No they don't... The Elite is built with different hardware, it's better quality and much less prone to a RROD. Elite comes with a 120GB HD and black color. That's it. Even the Arcade/Pro lines have the "Jasper" chipset. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Sir_Redhead
Here is a screenshot I took off of the xbox website. It shows what each version of the 360 has to offer. [hide=Xbox 360 differences][/hide] The one in the center I beleive is the "pro system". Gained first quest cape on 3/22/09! limpbizkit
Pyro I am sorry right now but you really need to keep up with times or research. All 360 hardware is the same and now all new are installed with the jasper Motherboard. Or whatever part it is ... Tif 360 MGC Leaderboard

Sir_Redhead
Technically, there is no "pro" system. It's the standard system. My system has a 20gp harddrive, not the 60 gb like the one in the center of the picture I posted. I think the term "pro" comes from on the box of that system, which sais "go pro".
