August 24, 200916 yr Most cannoners as I've found out. I'm almost 95 Slayer, and never once has a cannoner asked how many left. I've cannoned a few times and always look for a empty world. But the other ignorent [bleep]s, just setup and let it rip. So yeh, i agree with your rant. :P [hide=]24x Dboots/28x Whips/6x Dbows50+ Dk drops99 Cooking achieved 25th of Janurary #52114 to 99.99 Hunter achieved 21st Feburary #7216 to 99.99 Defence achieved 7th July #48009 to 99.99 Hitpoints achieved 5th August #60299 to 99. 99 Attack achieved 14th August #70001 to 99. 99 Strength achieved 2nd September #100069 to 99. August 25, 200916 yr I prefer to fight fire with fire: usually I don't cannon (too expensive for me) but if someone else comes along and uses it without asking me, you can be sure mine will come out (and stop gathering dust). August 26, 200916 yr Whoever pulled the necro-thread needs to learn a bit of forum etiquette. Anyways, on-topic: I use a cannon for some slayer tasks, (CURSE YOU HELLHOUNDS!) but I melee or range other tasks if I can. Usually, if there's someone at my spot, whether they're invading or if they were there first, I'll cannon them out. Why? Because I want to get through the crap that is having a bad task as fast as I possibly can. And that meleer can just hop or get less xp, I don't really care. I choose to train there, he can choose to leave or stay. As for polite, the meleer usually tells me to hop. No please, no "I'm almost done," just "hop u narb." And then he sees that I have a cannon, and usually hops after complaining about it. So yeah. I'm not what you would call a "happy cannoner," but I only ever cannon to get through a task I don't like quickly. So, if you come across me with my cannon at your training spot, just wait until I'm done. It won't take long.
August 26, 200916 yr as I play for my own enjoyment, not theirs. It does give a bit of satisfaction too when people get really mad at you but they can't do anything about it :P Apparently im annoying I dont need a siggy no moar.

August 27, 200916 yr Whoever pulled the necro-thread needs to learn a bit of forum etiquette. Nothing wrong with the occasional thread-from-beyond-the-grave :-) But on the topic, I just use cannon to speed up slayer task, and more often than not it's in SINGLE COMBAT where it isnt bothering anyone anyways (as long as I stay in combat). The only real exception to this is dagganoths, and that place has been a first rate charlie-foxtrot of cannoning since before I can remember. *~72,749th to 99 Attack on 9 September 2009~*

Yeah, nothing wrong with a nerco-thread, so long as the thread has discussion value. This one only has argument value as far as I've seen. This is like those "RS should be less violent" threads on the RSOF rants forum. It's funny if they're joking, and it's annoying if they aren't. Come to think of it, they DO look sorta the same...
August 30, 200916 yr Why should I be polite to people I'll likely never meet again? That's the general attitude I take when dealing with someone who whines about me cannoning. I crash meleer parties without remorse, myself. Now, if someone is smart and politely asks me to hop, I DO explain him nicely that I need my cannon to do stuff efficiently. But if not... well, sarcastic comments ensue. You're being watched.
