Experience can be put towards any skill. The amount given is based off of your skill level. It's 25 exp points per level in the skill you put it towards.

 

 

 

For example:

 

 

 

at Level 1 Cooking, you would get 25 exp (1 x 25)

 

at Level 2 Cooking, you would get 50 exp (2 x 25)

 

at Level 3 Cooking, you would get 75 exp (3 x 25)

 

Etc.

 

 

 

You can also get 6.5K gp per point, if you prefer gold over exp.

 

 

 

There is no guide to where the penguins can be found, as they have a tendency to roam and, well, hide! But you can ask Larry for a hint, and he'll tell you the general area to look in.

Its not worth exclusively hunting penguins, but you might as well spy on them if you see them. Its like getting a free book of knowledge every time you see a penguin, use it on skills like rune crafting or summoning.

Its very worthwhile hunting them with a good clan you can get them all in half an hour or so. Its good fun too!

riods2525 clan chat on either world 60 or 66 is a good place to try.

If you don't hunt every single one every week, you're throwing away free experience. It takes at most an hour to find them all...and you can put that experience in any skill (though the drawback is that you must do it in one shot, not pick for each point).

How many penguins are there?

Each week, you can spot 10 penguins. The penguin locations "reset" every Wednesday. You can find 10 each week and the locations are different from world to world. You can't find all ten in one world and switch to another to find the other ten, but if you can't visit a particular place because you haven't done the necessary quests, you can find, say eight on one world, then try to find another world where the locations are different for the other two.

 

 

 

You can store (I believe up to 50) points and you get additional points for having completed the Cold War quest. It is recommended that you finish that quest ASAP if you want to penguin hunt. I think it's the difference between getting just 10 points a week and 15!

I don't see how under an hour for 30k slay xp isn't worth it :P
