January 3, 200917 yr It's a great weapon. But it's also very expensive, because you have to also factor in the cost of recharging. After the fifth recharge, once the price has hit the steady 180k per recharge, it's an excellent weapon when you need a high range attack. Both fast and strong, and no ammo is required, so you can put ammo drops in that slot. Basically, if you're swimming in gold, go for it and enjoy it. If you're struggling to earn money and haven't bought your whip/fury yet, there are better things to spend your money on. Depends on your budget.

January 3, 200917 yr I love the crystal bow over rune cbows, and I remember a time I had 7 crystal seeds at a time. Like said before if you're rich or you favor bows over crossbows (or other weapons) then go ahead and buy it. But to start out, 900k for 2000 shots is 450 per shot. That's quite a bit. It pays for itself after a good amount of uses, so if you're a serious ranger, go for it. It pays for itself after a good amount of uses, so if you're a serious ranger, go for it. its 2500 shots and starts at 900k,then drops 180k everytime to need to recharge until it stays at 180k i personally used mine before the crossbow update and it was worth it but now...eh

January 4, 200917 yr It's faster and cheaper than adamant bolts, but is definetely more of a hassle. Addy bolts are 180gp each which is about 40 gp per shot at most. Crystal bow is 72 gp per shot. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
