Dullmage
Im going for 85 mining (hopefully) and need to know what is the fastest way. I have looked at many guides and cannot find an accurate or complete answers. Anyone have any ideas on what I need to mine for the quickest exp? Also if anyone knows how long it would roughly take that would help a lot.
Inuashakent
Iron to 70-80 and Granite mining was what I picked up over time, but I'm not sure if it's correct. You can easily manage 50k+ xp/hour if you concentrate at Granite, so I'm sure Iron is pretty close. Zarfot can get 70K+ xp/hour from Sandstone and Granite combined. kdb148
Powermining granite is tops for XP/hr. If you want to keep ores, than mining iron with a spirit kyatt and dueling rings/glory ammies is your best bet. Without the help of a Kyatt, your best option for keeping ores is the iron outside of Port Khazard, banking in Yanille. Check out this cool browser gladiator game! Dullmage
Thank-you and is there a guide on power mining granite?
Amaranth_GTO
Not really, although I'm sure you can find one on youtube. All you do is stand in a spot where you can mine 2 rocks without moving, mine the rocks, and drop the granite. Simple.

Hedgehog
When you mine granite I suggest bringing a few buckets that you can use with the fountain in Enakrha's temple to refill your waterskins.
Sinkhan
Or you could get an enchanted water tiara, use a bunch of water runes on it, and not need any waterskins at all Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

eias
Personally,i did coal for it,earned me a good profit also(10Mil),but if you are P2p,i suggest powermining granite, because as mentioned,it can get you at least 35K exp an hour, while coal is about 15K. UnknownRemoval
Also going to say, you could mine gold from Azarianian mines wearing a ring of charos(a). You need 45,921 Gold ores for 60-85 With the ring, the cost of banking your ore drops to 3 gold ore per load. 45,921/28 = 1640 loads (rounded down, you will end up with 1 extra ore.) 1640x3 = 4,920 Gold Ore used to pay for banking. 45,921 - 4,920 = 41,001 Gold Ore Banked 60-85 41,001x500 (Selling Price of Gold Ore) = 20,500,500 = 20.5M Cash Made. If the extra time spent (and less boredom to be honest) is worth 20.5M cash to you, think about doing it this way. kdb148
It's actually 1701 runs, you can only mine 27 ore at a time since you need an inventory space to remove your gold helmet in order to exit the mine. You can log out and in to exit without taking off the helmet, but that's a real pain. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!

leoben
45,921/27=1,701 rounded up.(Number of inventories) 1,701*3=5,103(Number of ores paid) 45,921-5,103=40,818 (Number of ores you will end up with) 40,818*500=20,409,000 20.4m profit. ^ Fixed calculations. If you want profit go for that. If you want speed you best bet would be granite or iron. On the time, well if the 50k/h experience is correct then: 2,984,852-Experience that you need for 60-85. 2984,984,852/50,000= 60 hours rounded up. And for gold if you can get a load in say 10 minutes:( I don't know how long it would take for a load just assuming here) 1,071*10=17,010 minutes 17,010/60=284 hours rounded up. So it would seem that it is 60 hours no profit or 284 hours with a 20.4m profit. You choose. Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz. UnknownRemoval
Then again, mining both non-stop to 80 would be a pain, maybe he could swap every once in a while to relive boredom of mining one type of ore over and over again. And mining is meant to take a long time. :ohnoes: Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
