July 22, 200520 yr hi guys right now i have a windows xp computer, but i'm thinking about buying a laptop. i was originally planning to get a hewlett packard with windows xp but now im seeing stuff about the new Mac OSX and right now i dont kno if i want an iBook or watever those mac laptops are called, so that i can get OSX. i hear reviews about it being really good, but windows xp has been pretty good to me and i dont see many problems with it. so i just want to know which one you guys recommend, xp or osx. thanks so much it'll help me a lot.
July 22, 200520 yr I don't have a problem with either aswell. TBH though, the only reason I would get an iBook is if I was going to be doing a lot of multimedia work while I travel or something. And even then it wouldn't just be multimedia work.... :dunno: Just got with whatever suits your pupose really.
July 22, 200520 yr Well poll after poll, and review after review reveal that none of the mentioned Operating Systems are better than the other. It all depends on your main purpose for work. As Rick mentioned, the iBook would be a lot more useful if you were doing multimedia, such as video editing or something. I, personally, love the look and feel of a mac computer. However, Windows is a lot more mainstream than Apple. Therefore, I would use Windows, for its compatability.

I only love them for their all white computers...man, those are a work of art. :drool: If I could have a mac computer, like a g5, but it contained all parts from a PC, I would definintely do that. Imagine running Windows Xp on it 8)

Imagine running Windows Xp on it 8) yeah i love that mac theme of having all shiny white. it just looks so cool. the ipods too, i think thats why everybody agrees that they look cooler than other mp3 players because of their simple all white design.
July 25, 200520 yr Whoa Merc...I knew about Intel and Apple working together, but I didn't think much of this actually happening! Thats awesome! Lmao at the 800 x 600 on 40" screen tho :lol: I'd sooo get that mac!!!
