Fromfirst2Last1987
ok so as we all know or have read in the behind the scenes 2009 jagex made the statement about removing some niggles from the game. so before everyone goes he he he, a niggle is a problem within the game. so i found it sort of humorous and i was telling my friend in edgeville to read the behing the scenes 2009 because jagex says niggle. well as most of you can already predict, i was muted. how am i muted for saying something jagex themselves said on the behind the scenes. i find this hypocritical. so for the discussion value of this thread. do you beleive jagex should remove the behind the scenes 2009 if they feels its a mutable offense? Kenneh
Jagex allready went through all this about the word 'niggles' . If you truely did get muted for that word, it's jagex you should be messaging, not posting here
chazzycaz
If you didnt check back on the thread, they removed it shortly after posting.... So the suggestion to remove it is unnecessary. Unlucky man though =[ OT: i think I might get muted soon - I said a bad word I was aiming for Clan chat but it came out in GE.... =S Just kidding ladies, you know I love you =DGuide to Making Money with NPC Trading

Miss War
well to put it straight, you found it funny because of the obvious word, now why did you find that funny, so you said it in game full knowing over people that may not have read bts for 2009, and may infact seen the negative side of the word, so in future be more careful, there are so many wanna be mods you really can't trust anyone, Miss Private Chat is allways ON, So please feel free to add me, I allways enjoy a good conversation and Im also a very good listener. Roseiah
Send in an appeal to Jagex, and quote them on their own use of the word. Have they given you the evidence of why you were muted, because you should check why you were actually muted, it may be for a completely different thing. If it was for the use of the word niggles, send them a message and hope they get back to you.
BloodArgon
So, the first post of the New Year and youll be wondering what the next 12 months in RuneScape will bring. The past year saw the introduction of PvP Worlds, RuneScape High Detail, Summoning, our first Grandmaster quest, combat minigames, and Distractions and Diversions. What can we do to top 2008? Well, this is the challenge that weve set ourselves: 2009 has become our official Upgrade Year! So, what does that mean? It means our New Year's resolution is to tweak and polish what we've already got in the game alongside creating new content. For example: * Doing the 'little' jobs that make a big difference (e.g. a 'You are here' arrow on the world map) and basically fixing all the annoying little quirks the game has. Things that may be the least glamorous to work on and talk about, but which really add up. * Updating some of the earliest content/quests to bring it up to date, and take advantage of all the features we have added to the game engine since it was originally created. Also, reworking old clues that no longer work now the game is bigger (e.g. 'Look west of the mountains' was fine when there was only one mountain, but not now). * Making the interfaces as intuitive, flexible and user-friendly as possible. * Then, after all that, well start looking into abandoned and barely used areas/features of the game, and breathing new life into them. Of course, we don't want to JUST do upgrades, so we're planning to do a mix of upgrades and new content. To achieve this we are planning on going back to releasing approximately four updates per month, which will alternate between upgrades and new content. Weve been trawling the forums, pooling opinions from our game teams and inviting everyone at Jagex HQ to voice their opinions on what theyd like to see in an upgraded RuneScape. As a regular player, there will no doubt be at least one feature youve always wanted to see introduced, to make your time in RuneScape even better. Chances are that its already on our list, but to be on the safe side, why not let us know? Well be monitoring the forums, so please tell us what you want to see. We cant promise we'll do everything, but well try to incorporate any particular trends we see into our plans, and let you know. Well, at the end of my first newspost, I just want to thank you all for your continued support through 2008, and I look forward to seeing you all in Gielinor in 2009. Happy New Year! Mod Vince Head of RuneScape I fail to see the word 'niggles' anywhere in there. Your a failure. And the reason its offensive is because no one uses it to mean quirks, or bugs, but beacuse the average age is 12, everyone uses it as the N word, to be funny. This is why jagex removes it from their post, because they see how everyone can't be mature and realize its not offensive. If you were allowed to say it, no one would complain about it, and it would still be in the news post. Its not, so this post is pointless. And Id love to know how your going to quote something that isnt there anymore =D> 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th

Regards Siobhana Ty Jeppoz for making it. Thx to the Pup for finding it after it got lost :D And thx to Kill_Life and Turtle for the ava.
