It really depends on what type of maturity you are referring to. Physically? Absolutely. Most girls turn into women before boys turn into men.

 

 

 

Emotionally, mentally, no. In terms of personality, I haven't found that gender makes a difference in maturity.

It gets thrown around a lot in high school too. Quite ironic how the people who say that other people need to be more mature are the real immature ones by bringing it up in the first place. Can you think of anything more immature than praising your own maturity?

This is rather subjective, you cant make sweeping generalisations that "boys are more mature than girls, or vice versa"

 

 

 

Mature how ?

 

Sexually, emotionally, behaviour-wise, chemically.

 

 

 

Mature: Pertaining to or characteristic of full development.

 

One could argue you are not mature untill you are past 18, legally an adult.

 

 

 

Again this is a self imposed boundary. How can you even define mature ?

 

By the way they speak? By the number of hairs in their armpits ?

I think girls generally "mature" before boys.

If by mature you mean being exactly the same as the other "mature" people and looking down and talking bad about those who are "immature", then immature people enjoy life way more.

 

 

 

That's the [bleep] I tolerate in class. Do something which makes me happy such as play pretend wrestling, and the same bunch of people will always be there to say "So childish".

Maturity is a function of how capable an individual is of exerting control over their environment, and how they deal with the consequences of said exercise.
